In its more formal definition we see that it is a branch of philosophy that deals with the nature of art, beauty and taste. It is true that nowadays, thanks to the influence of new technologies and social networks of artists, the term "aesthetic" has taken on a new dimension; of course, without losing its essence: the creation and appreciation of beauty. On the other hand, this term took on a new meaning in 2010 for vaporwave enthusiasts, uniting this musical genre with the visual elements that make up its "aesthetic"; among which we stand out words in Japanese and computer topics of the 80s / 90s. Due to its evolution on the internet, aesthetics has passed to a conception of modern art, since its description is simpler:"set of elements whose union produces some visual satisfaction". But, what is the vaporwave? What is the origin of this aesthetic trend?

the beginning of aesthetics trends

In 2015 a friend showed me the Vaporwave. She described collages full of bright neon colors with Greek sculptures. She recommended it to me because she knew of my taste for classical art. When I looked for it, I was fascinated by its aesthetics. It is an art made by non-professionals and perfectly congruent with his speech. First I wanted to see only the images, the colors and creativity of the creators, but soon I realized that it is a sort of underground music. The Vaporwave creates synthetic sounds, reverberates, cuts, slows, repeats and mixes from the music of the US consumer culture. Retakes genres such as EDM (electronic dance music), chill out, new age, lounge, smooth jazz and the Muzak (elevator music and atmosphere in shopping centers). The songs tend to be slow that recreate atmospheres of well-being, relaxation but at the same time nostalgia and depression. But he also uses rhythms to actively dance like funk. Fragments of television series, commercials or exotic material are commonly used as Japanese elements such as anime.

SOFT GRUNGE

The grunge "is a proposal of rebellion and slovenlinessâ€?, making an allusion to his name, which is a variation of the term "dirty ". Grunge is a youthful expression, a cry of freedom and rebellion." But soft grunge is different. This movement was born on the Tumblr website and is responsible for mixing a bit of grunge, gothic culture and much aesthetics of the pop culture of the 90's. According to the WGSN, one of the companies dedicated to predict trends, 2019 will be loaded with "soft pop" and "classic modern", two movements that little by little shape the lifestyle of the followers of the soft grunge and that evolved very recently to the wellknown "aesthetic style". The aesthetic is characterized by an innocent style with grunge touches, a sporty style, the 90's, sorcery and Asian youth fashion. We know that this mix seems crazy but if we pay attention, this look is already everywhere, with its sarcastic message shirts and its platform tennis. On the other hand, runway fashion has adapted different elements of this style such as pastel colors, chokers (collars to the neck), mini skirts and many other things.
