"May, the month of sunshine, blooming flowers, and endless possibilities."
As we wind up our scholarship “ season ” I get excited knowing that we will be giving students in our community endless possibilities to find their path in life After reading many scholarship applications, I am truly honored to work for a nonprofit that can truly shape a young person ’ s life
I want to thank all of our volunteer readers who spent many hours reading the applications I know for me and many others, the stories can be both heart wrenching but also very hopeful that our youth are venturing out on a journey to further their education. Thanks to our donors for making this happen. Next month I will share the exact number of scholarships we will be awarding to our graduating seniors.
Teacher Appreciation Week is this week! During the week of May 6th-10th be sure to thank a teacher. Their love and dedication to our youth is very inspiring. We need to make sure they feel loved and supported by all.

Our goal is to support the teachers in our school district with much needed supplies for the classroom. Watch this newsletter for future needs; We’ll have to keep it well stocked.

Congratulations to Ms. Ingram’s 1st grade class at Meadow Ridge for earning a Dutch Bros Hot Chocolate Party from iSwim!
We had a Peely’s Painting Party on April 19th thanks to the wonderful volunteers at HP, and we made some GREAT progress towards getting Peely’s Teacher Supply House ready to open this fall. Peely’s will be a school supply resource center for GAPS teachers to get schools supplies for free. This has been a project a LONG time in the making, and we are finally making strides towards opening! A HUGE THANK YOU to HP for the help painting this old classroom, as well as setting up 25+ shelves which will be our storage system for the school supplies. We couldn’t have done this without your help!
