Doug is currently serving his 4th term as Linn County District Attorney. He has worked as a prosecutor for nearly 25 years. Doug obtained a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Brigham Young University. Later, he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University Law School in Camden, New Jersey.
As a prosecutor, Doug has been named Victim Advocate of the year in two different counties (Linn and Lincoln). In 2024, the Oregon District Attorney’s Association recognized him with an Ethics and Professionalism Attorney of the Year Award. Doug will soon graduate from the Chamber’s Leadership Albany program.
Doug and his wife have raised 4 daughters and 1 son here in Albany. In his free time, Doug enjoys hiking, reading great books, spending time with his family, and serving with his church.
