Small classes and an emphasis on building nurturing relationships are what sets us apart.

At this age students develop at their own pace so individual attention is critical to ensuring each student blossoms into a confident learner. Our lower school teachers put an emphasis on really knowing each student, while guiding them to develop communication skills through reading, writing, public speaking and active listening. Students explore science, math, technology, arts and athletics with passionate subject specialists in ways that inspire young minds. This approach helps our students develop social and academic confidence at a very early age—paving the way for success down the road.

What does it really mean to not “teach to the test?”

The difference is huge. It allows our teachers to be creative and responsive—engaging students interests by exploring the things that inspire them. This keeps natural curiosity alive and inspires a lifelong love of learning that we feel is the ultimate goal of an Academies education. Once they have it, our students can go on to do anything. (By the way, they also do pretty well on tests—consistently achieving above average scores.)
