You can get $100 just for Shopping Soldotna!

In partnership with the City of Soldotna, utilizing CARES Act funding, the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce is facilitating another community-wide Shop Local program to help encourage and motivate local spending at Soldotna businesses for products, services, and experiences. The Holding Our Own Shop Local program will run from November 15th through December 15th, 2021, and motivate almost $1 Million in local spending, through showcasing and incentivizing dollars spent. For every $200 spent shopping within Soldotna City Limits, participants will receive one (1) $100 voucher of their choice to spend at local participating businesses by the end of 2021. The City of Soldotna has earmarked $310,000 for this program!

How it works:

Support local Soldotna businesses by shopping and spending $200 on discretionary items. Save your receipts! Once you have spent $200, turn in your receipts to the Soldotna Chamber for verication, and then receive a $100 voucher you select from participating businesses.

Discretionary purchases in this program include, but are not limited to: Clothing, furniture, tools, sporting goods, art, jewelry, massage, haircuts, restaurants, cafes, bars & distilleries, museums, books, owers, & collectibles.

Non-Discretionary purchases are not eligible under this program, and include, but are not limited to: Groceries, fuel, utilities, vehicles, auto-parts, mortgage or rent, rewood, medical bills or prescriptions.

TO QUALIFY TO SIGN UP FOR THE PROGRAM, A SOLDOTNA BUSINESS MUST: • Have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19, and have a brick and mortar business address in Soldotna City Limits.

• Be current in sales tax registration with the Kenai Peninsula Borough, and not be delinquent.
