Andrew Hrsto Founder & CEO

Since launching ALAND in 2002, Andrew Hrsto has been pivotal for the company's success. Andrew founded ALAND to deliver quality housing in sought‑after areas, with a focus on thoughtful land development and community amenities. He continues to shape ALAND’s vision by guiding projects, growth strategies, and land acquisitions. Committed to innovation, Andrew ensures ALAND creates homes that go beyond construction, offering attractive lifestyles with the strong potential for capital growth.

The former president of the NSW Legislative Council, joined the ALAND Board in February 2025. During his 14 years in state parliament John, a lawyer, held several ministerial portfolios, including; Ageing, Disability Services and Multiculturalism, and sat on many parliamentary committees.

During his time at ALAND, he aims to support the company in its quest to build high‑quality homes and to create thriving new communities across Sydney and the Central Coast.

ALAND is delivering a landmark mixed-use precinct within the Leppington Town Centre, comprising two State Significant Development sites that will help shape the future of South West Sydney.

Leppington Civic Centre will deliver approximately 1,493 apartments, including 217 affordable homes, alongside 31,000m² of retail and commercial space, a 156-key hotel, new public streets and vibrant public domain. Located adjacent to Leppington Train Station, the development will become a major commercial and residential destination with future connectivity to the Western Sydney Airport.

Leppington Residential Core will deliver 1,206 apartments, including 189 affordable homes, 112 serviced apartments and nine residential buildings, complemented by new open spaces and public domain that integrate with the wider town centre network.

The site was acquired from NSW Government developer Landcom through a competitive selection process. Spanning two super lots, Lot 32 (6,718m²) and Lot 33 (32,890m²), the development is envisioned as a vibrant new town centre comprising an estimated 1,500 apartments, up to 10,000m² of retail and dining, community facilities, public art, and high-quality public open spaces.

Designed to foster a connected and walkable lifestyle, the precinct integrates with the surrounding pedestrian and cycleway network, placing schools, transport and everyday amenities within easy reach. Many residences will also enjoy expansive views towards the Sydney skyline.

ALAND IN THE COMMUNITY

The ALAND Foundation is a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) with a public ancillary fund. It was launched in December 2024. Through partnerships with charitable organisations, the Foundation will support women escaping domestic violence, young people in need and food programs helping school students and families.

The purpose of the Foundation is to enable positive change within communities experiencing poverty, sickness, destitution, helplessness, suffering, misfortune, disability or distress. The Foundation will support and promote vital public health outcomes and will undertake research into the fields of housing and personal wellbeing.
