Alamance Country Club
Weekly Update
June 4 June 13
Dear ACC Family, I hope that everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend, even if the weather was not what it was last weekend. For those of you who have lost loved ones or friends in service to our country, I would like to say thank you for your sacrifice as well as theirs. I want to take a minute and share with you some Club "staff family" news. I recently received a notice of retirement from one of our longtenured leaders on our team. In conversations following that notice, we talked about whether or not that was really the option desired or if there was another one to look at. After several followup conversations and lots of thought, Chef Terri has decided that she will be re tiring later this month. It goes without saying that this is a major change for the Club and in particular for our culinary team. Chef Terri has been in ACC's kitchen for 25 years! As her last day on June 19th approaches, we are sad dened to see her leave the team, but we are excited for her to begin that fun chapter of life where she gets to serve herself and take some time to stop and smell the flowers. There will be more information in the coming weeks about an opportunity for you to say Thank You and wish Terri well. With this change in leadership upcoming, the rest of the staff is also preparing for change. We know how important this role is at ACC and do not want to lose the positive momentum and camaraderie that Chef Terri has worked so hard to create. For that reason, we have partnered with a search firm that specializes in private club placements for executive chefs and other leadership positions. This process may take up to 12 weeks to find the right chef and it may be another 46 weeks for that person to actually start. During this time, we will be working as a team to manage the responsibili ties that were previously handled by Chef Terri. As we look for the right person to join our team it is important for us to keep our levels of service high and the consistency and quality of food the same. Please feel free to contact me or Tony our Food and Beverage Director with any concerns or if you have constructive comments on things you would like to see in the culinary operation going for ward. Thank you for your support of Chef Terri and thank you for your support as we try to find the best fit possible for the future of our team.
