Please bring your own towel and water bottle to all classes The ACC Fitness Committee have put a great deal of thought and effort into developing an opportunity for our members that are trying to manage chronic health issues through exercise. We recognize the need to ensure a safe and healthy environment for exercising, so we please ask that you review and adhere to the following guidelines. This will ensure your safety and the safety of those around you.

Guidelines for Exercising Indoors • A physician’s note indicating that exercise is recommended for your health and well being will be required of all members wishing to participate.

• All members will be required to sign a COVID-19 waiver. This waiver is located HERE as a PDF. We ask that you bring a signed copy with you upon your first visit. Copies will be available at the Fitness Center as well.

• Masks will be required to be worn by all members in all areas of the building at all times • Masks will be optional, as recommended by the CDC, while exercising.

• Reservations will be required and may be made 24 hours in advance by calling the Fitness Center at 336-584-9848 or by emailing fitness@alamancecc.net between the hours of 10AM and 2PM Monday through Friday.

• Reservations for Monday should be made on Fridays.

• Reservations are on a first come basis and do not guarantee choice of equipment.

• Reservations may be made for 10AM, 11AM, 12PM, or 1PM, and are for 45 minutes in duration.

• Only 8 members will have access to the facility per hour.

• To ensure member safety, every other piece of cardiovascular equipment will be available.

• We have zoned off all areas of the fitness center to make it easier to practice social distancing.

Only one member will be allowed in each zone at a time.

• We ask that you please leave any small equipment that you use (dumbbells, medicine balls, tubing, etc.) on the ground so that we may sanitize them when you are through using them.

• The facility will be sanitized hourly by the staff in preparation for the next group.

• We kindly ask that all members practice social distancing while in all areas of the fitness center.

• Locker rooms, bathrooms, and the steam room will be available for m-ember usage.

• We kindly request that all members bring their own personal workout towel, shower towel and water bottle.

• We have placed additional hand sanitizer pumps throughout the fitness center to ensure member safety.

Quick Start Tennis is structured for kids to learn, rally, and play quickly, and in a way that is both enjoyable and rewarding. Tailoring equipment and courts so they are sized appropriately for kids makes the game more accessible - and more fun - by allowing them to get involved right from the start.

We have received some wonderful news that the High Meadows Golf & Country Club in Roaring Gap is now available to our members for reciprocity. The chart has been updated on the website and if you have any questions about using reciprocal play, please contact the Golf Page on the website - YOU MUST BE LOGGED IN as a member to access that information.

CLICK HERE *Please Note: Each private club has a specific number of days in advance in which we can arrange times - which is listed for each club on the chart. Please wait until the specified day before calling the ACC Golf Shop to reserve that time. Tee times will be arranged on a firstcome, first serve basis beginning the day those times can be made.

For example: If a club is 3 days in advance, please call on Wednesday for Saturday times.

If a course is closed on Mondays and Monday is the target day in advance, times will not be arranged until that Tuesday.

Everyone has their “WHY” and their reason for being at ACC. It will look different for each member. We would love to hear your “WHY”.

Wow! It is hard to believe that it is almost Fall! We are excited that we have some really great things happening in spite of the Pandemic! Many of our members are taking advantage of our tennis offerings. We are seeing all ages participate in tennis and pickleball. Remember to check your weekly update for all of our clinics and lessons that Scott, Stefan and Gabo are offering. The pool is going to remain open a little longer than usual too, so be sure to stop by for a swim, or grab some lunch or dinner. Matt and Kenny are doing what they can to accommodate your fitness needs. Reach out to them if you have any questions. We have a new dinner menu and I hear it is fabulous. Thank you, Chef Terri and staff! Come on out to the dining room and check it out yourself! Give the guys in the Golf Pro Shop a call for reciprocal information, or stop-in to see some of the great merchandise they have in stock. Also, Tony and staff are working on some really fun events. Keep checking that weekly update for information. We are trying to offer some things for our children in the afternoon. We know many of them are at home on a computer and need an outlet after they are finished. We will continue to come up with some unique ways to get them active. Our collegiate members are beginning to come back. If you see them, give them a warm welcome back. Their college experience will be much different this year, too. We are happy that we can provide a place for them to get a way a little bit. I share all of this because these are great talking points to share with potential members. We are getting some great inquiries from folks interested in joining. I was doing a tour this past week and ran in to Ray Womack as I was touring the couple around. He shared his “WHY” he loves ACC with them and to me, member testimonies are our best selling points.

Mark is our newest Parent Affiliate and is a member of the Board of Directors of the holding company, KB Financial Companies, LLC, and CEO of KB Corporate Finance, LLC. KB Corporate Finance, together with its affiliate KB Capital Partners, is an integrated middle market Investment Banking and Direct Investment group.

For over 30 years, Mark has worked with clients in corporate finance, direct investing/private equity, and accounting, including international mergers and acquisitions, arranging debt and equity financing, public-to-private conversion of companies, and corporate recapitalizations.

Mark has been responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, transaction structures, financing, and execution of post-closing growth strategies. Mark has led investments in a number of industries including consumer products, aviation logistics, manufacturing, and distribution. He has held senior executive positions and board roles within those investments.

Mark is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a former board member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

Mark serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the MIAX Pearl, LLC Options and Equity Exchange, a wholly owned subsidiary of Miami International Holdings, Inc. and is a member of the Council (Board of Directors) of the Bermuda Stock Exchange, a majority controlled subsidiary of Miami International Holdings, Inc. In addition, Mark serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors of Allentown Holdings, LLC, a portfolio company of Capital Partners Private Equity Fund III, L.P., a $600 million committed fund.

He has an MBA from the Graduate School of Business from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree from Rider University. Mark and his wife have 2 children and are residents of Miami, FL and Bermuda.
