Men’s Member­Member • Friday, May 21 ­ Sunday, May 23 Sign­ups for the Men’s Member­Member (May 21­23) will begin on Friday, April 2 by phone or in person through the Golf Shop. We will start the field at 36 2­man teams playing flights of 6. If we have more demand, we will expand the field in increments of 6 2­man teams with a hard cap at 48 teams.

This is going to be an extremely popular event, so make sure you find your partner and sign up quickly!

Entry Deadline: Thursday, May 13 Time: 9:00am Shotgun Start both days Eligibility: Male members Entry Fee: $200 (includes prizes, Friday Night Stag Party & Contests, Saturday Evening Party, Breakfast & Lunch both days, and Hors d’oeuvres after play on Sunday) * Cart Fees Not Included Friday, May 21: Activities start at 5:00pm followed by Stag Party, Custom Participant Gift, Pari­Mutuel Saturday, May 22: 9:00am Shotgun (3 Matches) and Evening Party (spouses welcome) Sunday, May 23: 9:00am Shotgun ( 2 Matches) and Championship Shootout on #18 (Friends & Family welcome to watch from the Event Lawn) Format: Two­person teams will play Net Better Ball Match­Around vs. other two­person teams in their flight. Flights will be determined by total indexes* of the two­person team ­ the differential between partners cannot exceed 9 (if necessary, ‘B’ players will be reduced). Players will play from the tee markers where they have established their handicap. *We will use handicaps from the May 18th revision.

ACC RACQUET SPORTS FANS ­ We have had a tremendous turnout for the Pickleball & Open Play Clinic. We are making a few adjustments to the schedule that will hopefully enable more participation. I will be asking everyone to fill out a self­rating questionnaire per USA Pickleball player skill definitions. Stefan and I will analyze the questionnaires and provide our comments, give you feedback on areas to improve your game and give you a skill rating. This skill rating will also let you know what clinics and open play options are available for you. This rating system is much like our current USTA Tennis rating system.

‘Chandler & Julie Cox Please welcome new members Julie, Chandler & Josie Lynn.

Julie is from Orlando, Florida and graduated from Timber Creek High School and The University of Florida. Chandler grad­ uated from Williams High School and Clemson University and is no stranger to ACC. He grew up around the Club and is excited for his family to experience the ACC family as he did as a child.

Julie is a stay­at­home mom, and Chandler is an Insurance Program Manager with Brisk Management Services. Julie’s favorite food is Thai ­ Panang Curry and Chandler loves a good burger. When given the opportunity to travel, Julie’s favorite destination is the beach and Chandler loves to be on the campus of Clemson University any chance he gets. She loves art, crocheting and reading, while Chandler enjoys golf, fitness and anything Clemson!

They have one adorable daughter, Josie Lynn, and are expecting their second child soon.

It is an exciting time to be joining the Club, and they are looking forward to playing golf, spending time at the pool, fitness and social activities for all ages. ‘

Kathryn & David Koenig Please welcome new members, Kathryn & David Koenig.

Kathryn has lived in the greater Houston area since she was six years old. She lived in Illinois prior to that and was born in California. David has lived in the greater Houston area his entire life and grew up in the suburbs of Houston, Texas.

He and Kathryn have been married for 27 years. They both graduated from Alief Elsik High School, Texas A&M University for their undergraduate degrees, and the University of Houston where Kathryn received her MSW degree and David received his MBA. They both love Tex­Mex food, and Kathryn also loves good Italian food. When given the opportunity to travel, Kathryn enjoys any beach and David has a fondness for Scotland. Kathryn enjoys sewing and scrapbooking, and David likes to play golf. They both enjoy traveling and reading.

They have four children: Michael (24), Abby (22), James (20), and Susannah (20). They also have one furry child ­ a cat named Dinah.

Kathryn & David are super excited about being part of ACC, and love the atmosphere and are looking forward to dining and golfing.

Vicki & Jack Lewis Please welcome new members Vicki & Jack Lewis..

Vicki grew up in Mt. Airy, NC and graduated from Greensboro College. She is a retired school teacher.

Jack grew up in Florence, SC and graduated from Wake Forest University. Jack is a professional golfer and has played in three Masters, five U.S. Opens, and three PGA events. He was the Golf Professional at Forsyth Country Club in Winston Salem and the Atlanta Athletics Clubs, and the golf coach at Wake Forest University.

Their favorite place to visit is the Highlands, and when it comes to food they are easy to please and like about anything. Vicki enjoys cooking and we hear she can make a mean chicken pie! Jack obviously loves golf!

Vicki has two children and five grandchildren, and Jack has three children and ten grandchildren!

They also have a furry child, Socks, the cat.

They are super excited about being a part of ACC and are looking forward to good food, good fellowship, the pool, pickleball, and golf.
