QUICK START TENNIS CAMPS | JULY 7-10 & JULY 21-24 Tuesday - Friday | 9:30am - 10:30am Ages : 4 - 8 years old

Quick Start Tennis is structured for kids to learn, rally, and play quickly, and in a way that is both enjoyable and rewarding. Tailoring equipment and courts so they are sized appropriately for kids makes the game more accessible - and more fun - by allowing them to get involved right from the start.

ACC offers three Quick Start programs suited to fit the age and skill of your child.

Cost per child: $50/week or $14 /day

ACC SPORTS ACADEMY | JULY 27-JULY 31 Monday - Friday | 9:00am - 12:00pm Ages : 6 - 12 years old

This camp covers tennis, soccer, basketball, pickleball, fitness and a few other surprises. We also introduce kids to the fundamentals of sport and athletic skills, running, throwing, balance, hand-eye coordination, fitness, and good sportsmanship.

Golf Renovation Update

There has not been much excitement on the golf course this past week. Work is flowing, however the main job is cleaning up the sod scraps on the front nine and hauling to the bury pits.

The practice range on the other hand is receiving a major overhaul. Compared to last week, it’s very different to say the least. Jeremiah Ryan, TDI’s construction superintendent, has been shaping it since Saturday. Once it is shaped and blessed by Billy Fuller, our architect, drainage will be added and sprigs will be ordered and the grow-in process will begin on the range floor. Our very own, Jerry Whitaker, has been doing work around the practice tee to make way for the new simulator building. It is a pleasure working with Jerry as he is an artist with an excavator.

As for the G&G staff, we’ve been taking advantage of a closed golf course. This week we have verticut fairways 3 times and aerated. Once we are finished with this process we will begin topdressing fairways and tees with our old bunker sand. Throughout the next few months we will be patching up areas with no grass with sod from construction areas. There will also be some reworking of current landscape areas throughout the golf course.

Needless to say, we are all having fun during this whole process. The change of pace is nice but we can’t wait to present this final product to the membership! Have a great week!!

Current state of all greens on the back 9. Sod stripped completely off the greens and surrounds.

Some sand piles in bunkers waiting to be scooped out. All the old bunker sand will be used to topdress our fairways and tees.

Current state of most greens on the front 9 and practice greens. The sod has been pushed off the greens into piles and will be hauled off in the next few days. The good news is that the greens will meet the target fumigation date of June 24. Once this process is complete, the greens can be shaped and surrounds and bunkers follow.

Dear ACC Family, I wanted to share a brief update on the golf course work and some things that you can expect to see this week.

As I mentioned in my last note, we wanted to allow access to the cart paths for walking as long as we could. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is the time when we need to ask EVERYONE to now stay off the golf course until further notice. This includes ALL areas of the course and all holes and driving range. There is a larger team than last week getting some great work done. At this point the TDI team has pretty much caught up from the day they missed last week. You have no doubt seen the movement of earth material around the greens.

This week we are hoping to fumigate the greens and collar areas. This is a very specific chemical application that kills pests, fungus, bacteria, and other living organisms in the topsoil. This is done so that the greens mix is sterile and will be in the best condition to receive fertilizer amendments and NEW SEED! This is an important step that needs no interruption with. It is also important to note that this chemical application can be hazardous if you are not properly trained and wearing the correct protective gear. I am saying this not to scare you but to make sure you understand the “why” behind the request to not be on the course.

I am also asking all parents, especially those who live on the course, to instruct your children to find safe alternate routes to others houses and the club other than cutting through the golf course. I would also ask that parents please remind the kiddos to look both ways when crossing North Fairway, Pineway, or any of the parking lots.

Between club traffic, residents of the neighborhood, construction team, Peter’s team, and soon the group working on the simulator building we will have a ton of vehicular traffic.

I just mentioned the simulator building and we are in the midst of the permitting process. We have worked out the timing (we hope) so that the building work will not interfere with the maintenance work on the golf course or the driving range. If you were out at the club earlier this week you saw the driving range really start to take shape with new target greens getting mounded up. This is an exciting time at ACC and I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s hard work and commitment pay off with a great course for you to enjoy and show off to future members!

(Click Here) As of right now, we have 4 courses or our Private Club Partners * and await the go-ahead from those remaining. We will update the membership as soon as we receive word! *Please Note: Each private club has a specific number of days in advance in which we can arrange times - which is listed for each club on the chart. Please wait until the specified day before calling the ACC Golf Shop to reserve that time. Tee times will be arranged on a firstcome, first serve basis beginning the day those times can be made.

For example: If a club is 3 days in advance, please call on Wednesday for Saturday times.

If a course is closed on Mondays and Monday is the target day in advance, times will not be arranged until that Tuesday.
