Summer Racquets News
We had several ACC league teams competing this Summer. Lisa McDaniel captained a 3.0 Mixed Doubles Team that had 12 players on the team that never played in a USTA League. The team finished in 4th place with a very respectable 4 – 4 record and were two tie-break losses short of beating the 1st place team that was undefeated all season.
Kathryn Roberts captained our 3.0 Summer Daze Doubles Team finished with a 5-5 record, good for 9th place in the 12 team league.
Our Alamance Junior Tennis League Team finished the summer season undefeated playing again Olde Forrest, The Burlington Tennis Center, and The Mebane Tennis Center. A great job by the kids battling the summer heat!
Our USTA 10 and Under Junior Team Tennis Team participated in the State Tournament in Winston-Salem as representatives of the Greensboro League. It was a great experience for the kids and parents. The kids didn’t win it all, but we did win the Team Spirit Award. We’re excited to get back at it this fall.
