News Around the Club October 1529, 2021
Dear ACC Family, I hope that everyone’s October is off to a great start. It is hard to believe we are already into the last quarter of the year. This is just a quick note with some reminders and some updates to some of our programs. To begin with, I want to continue to send a warm welcome to Marcy McAdams with our Youth and Family programs. You will continue to see new calendar items from Marcy in the coming weeks. It is our goal to send out a calendar with “save the dates” through the end of January by the end of this month. We have already seen some changes in our Kids’ Club and in particular the ability to take a few children each night that are not yet pottytrained. This is a big change for us but with this change in service comes a change in how we do reservations. In order to secure a spot for those not yet pottytrained, reservations for Kids’ Club must be made 48hours in advance and Kids’ Club for those children who are pottytrained need to be made 24hours in advance. These deadlines help us to ensure we have the proper staffing to keep kids safe and entertained. I know that sometimes plans develop at the last minute but it really is a huge help for us to have reservations earlier than the same day. As you all know we have been searching for an Executive Chef for some time. Well that time has FINALLY come to an end. I would like to give a huge ACC Welcome to Kenneth Jenkins as our new Executive Chef. I know I speak for all of our culinary team and Tony Barnhart our Food and Beverage Director when I say we are all super excited to have Kenneth join the team. Many of you have asked about a new menu and you will have one shortly, but we need to let Kenneth find all the light switches first! I am sure he’s got some of his favorites he would like to introduce to you shortly and will have some new specials. I appreciate the hard work of our team this past summer and in particular this past month as our calendar has picked up. In closing, I also want to say thank you to the membership for making the past three years here at ACC fun and exciting. I love serving you all, working with our great Board of Directors and committees, and helping an awesome team provide outstanding service and experiences. I hope there are many more years of doing this and perhaps getting to do it without having to deal with COVID. As you saw earlier this week the next slate of candidates for the Board has been posted around property at all venues. In keeping with the bylaws this slate will be posted until later this month and all proxies and ballots will be mailed out in the beginning of November.
