EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
MITCH FLINCHUM
Meet Mitch Flinchum, our Controller here at Alamance Country Club. Mitch has been an essential part of our team for the past ten months. With an impressive 40 years of accounting experience, Mitch oversees all aspects of accounting, payroll, and human services. He ensures the smooth financial operations of the club. Mitch grew up in Guilford County, earning his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Elon University and later obtaining a Masters in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro .
When asked why he chose to work at ACC, Mitch emphasized the friendly and professional environment, as well as the warmth of his coworkers. Living close to the club made his decision a little easier too. Mitch is particularly fond of the top-notch food and restaurant facilities at ACC, which contribute significantly to the vibrant social atmosphere.
Beyond his financial skills, Mitch has a hidden talent that sets him apart: he has been playing Bluegrass music since the age of twelve. A skilled guitarist (his first love) and banjo player, Mitch comes from a musical family where everyone plays an instrument. Playing the guitar and his love of Bluegrass provides a great deal of fun and pleasure for Mitch and his entire family.
