Reservations can be made with Jenn Handwerk. Due to the nature of the event the cancellation deadline is 1 week prior to the game to avoid being charged for tickets. Reservations open November 1st. Enjoy chauffeured premium bus transportation to and from the game, with a bartender! Enjoy drinks and snacks with other members before and after the game. All games are open to all members and their families. We picked dates that might be great family outings near the holidays and open to kids as well. We have 20 tickets available for each of the three games and will be available on a first come first served basis.

Hello. Learn to play American Mah Jongg the National Mah Jongg League way. In three 3 Hour classes you will learn the basics of the game and be ready to play. Dana Lange has been teaching Mah Jongg over 25 years across North Carolina and around the world. She promises it is the most fun class you have ever taken. It’s a game, it should be.

Step into the vibrant world of the Chappell Family, our featured members of the week! For the past five years, Kelly, Josh and their family have added an extra dash of joy to the Alamance Country Club community. With warm memories of their early days at the club, Kelly Chappell gives her husband Josh credit for their smooth transition.
The Chappell Family
"I will give credit to Josh. Growing up at Alamance and being around this area helped. His love of golf helped make this transition in joining an easy one. Once joining, we quickly realized that this was a great place with a great staff." Kelly, Josh and their four children, Ella, Mary Wade, Lauren, and Whitt, bring energy to the dining and pool areas, resulting in amazing family memories. Meanwhile, Josh is drawn to the club's golf and fitness facilities, making the most of the club's numerous amenities. Outside of the club, Kelly is a major contributor to the community and a positive force. As a dedicated professional at Alamance Community College, specializing in career and college promises. She also shares her passion as a dance and acrobatic instructor for young children. With her children actively engaged in her lessons and the youngest, Lauren, presently whirling in her acrobatics program. Josh is very active in the community and has served on numerous boards and committees and recently served on the ACC Board of Directors. He is President of Jennings Bryan-Chappell Insurance. In offering advice to new members, Kelly emphasizes the importance of making the most of the club's amenities. "Make the best of it and have fun with all the amenities that ACC has to offer. It is rewarding in the long run, and the relationships you build throughout your time here are amazing." Acknowledging the hard work of the club's staff, Kelly expresses her gratitude, "The staff here is amazing, and their hard work doesn't go unnoticed in this family. Our family sincerely appreciates the incredible effort that they put into operating our country club." We express our deepest gratitude to the Chappell Family for their continued dedication, and we look forward to many more shared moments of joy and growth in the years to come.
E MPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT CHUCK VAN PELT
Chuck Van Pelt, a devoted team member of Alamance Country Club since February 28th, 2021, is the center of this week's employee focus. Chuck's love of landscaping began in his early years, when his curiosity in gardening and grounds bloomed from his love of the outdoors. Armed with this passion, Chuck attended Alamance Community College to obtain a landscaping degree. Though his interest in gardening grew, he initially began working in different general areas around the club. Chuck's dedication and hard work caught the attention of his brother, Jeff Van Pelt, the director of grounds at the country club. When a landscaping position became available, Jeff saw Chuck as the perfect candidate for the role. Recognizing Chuck's commitment to maintaining the grounds and his strong work ethic, Jeff offered him the opportunity. Since then, Chuck has proven to be a valuable asset to Alamance Country Club, showcasing his skills and making significant contributions to the overall aesthetic appeal of the club. Chuck's advice to aspiring landscapers is simple yet profound: "If you love being outdoors, messing with plants, and getting your hands dirty, then landscaping is for you." Alamance Country Club extends its heartfelt appreciation to Chuck for his outstanding contributions and for bringing the beauty of nature to life within the club's grounds.

How it Works: How it works: Every member family has their name in the tumbler. One name will be drawn at random. The winner MUST BE PRESENT IN THE GRILL OR SADDLECLUB LOUNGE! The gold starts off at $300 in credit. Each week that the name drawn is not present, the name goes back in and the pot grows by $100 (capped @ $2000). This continues until someone wins and then the pot restarts at $300. So make your reservations, bring your friends, and come out to test your luck! We draw every Thursday Night at 7pm! Must be present to win!

If you must cancel, we require a 24-hour notice. Members will be charged 100% of the fee for no-shows or cancelling less than the 24-hour notice unless you fill the slot. Reservations may be made up to one-week in advance only and you must make a dining reservation when making your Kids’ Club reservation. A dining reservation will be required before you can make a Kids' Club reservation.
