Meet F.D. and Mary Zeta Hornday, proud members of Alamance Country Club for an incredible 43 years and counting! F.D.'s connection to the club runs deep, with his father being among its founding members. Growing up and enjoying the club's activities joining was an easy decision for the Horndays. They've cherished every moment spent here; watching their sons grow up playing golf and tennis, while their grandchildren anticipated the summer sports camps.

F.D. & Mary Zeta Hornaday

One of the Hornaday's favorite traditions were the Wednesday night buffets, especially with the dessert bar! Dining at the club has always been a delight for the Horndays. Whether it's cozy grill nights, elegant dinners in the dining room, or leisure poolside lunches in the summer. They have a soft spot for classic club dishes like liver and onions, homemade onion rings, and the ice cream pie with chocolate sauce.

Nowadays, you'll find them making the most of the fitness center. F.D. loves going out to play a round of golf here and there, while Mary Zeta enjoys water aerobics and pickleball year-round.

Excitement is growing as the club prepares for new pool facilities. The Horndays are excited to see the club come alive with new energy as a result of these changes. They're especially excited about the future casual dining rooms, which promise to be places of laughing and good times.

Amidst all the changes, their appreciation for the staff and fellow members who make Alamance Country Club feel like family remains the same. It's the bonds formed here, both old and new, that truly make their club experience extraordinary.
