FROM THE GM

Charlie Nolette cnolette@alamancecc.net

Good Afternoon ACC Family, We are quickly approaching Easter Sunday which to me always signals SPRING! We’ve had a busy March and are getting ready for the next couple months to be even busier. To begin with we have completed the Terrace Room window project. You will now notice that there is no water damage or wood rot in the room, the doors open and close with ease, and the window clarity is amazing now that we have windows without broken seals in them! We are also putting together plans for a bit of a Club Yard Sale. We have multiple pieces of furniture, equipment, and artwork that simply don’t fit in stylistically or operationally with what we are doing nowadays in the Club. I know that some of these may have sentimental value to some folks, so because of this we will be allowing members to peruse items first, then staff, and finally through the Facebook Marketplace and some local consignment shops to part ways with these items. All proceeds from these sales will go towards upfitting our Youth Programs spaces downstairs with safe, new, ageappropriate furniture. At the moment we are looking at April 23rd and 24th but please keep an eye out for this date to be finalized. Starting next Thursday, we will begin offering private dining Chalets (10’x10’’) on the Amenity Lawn. There will be a total of 4 available for service on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings throughout the spring. On these nights, chalets are by reservation, the rest of the week they are first come first served basis. Please note that we will only be having dedicated service on the three nights above. On other nights you will need to order via the mobile app or at the bar. These chalets will have lighting and heat (arriving March 29th) with 3 sides closed to provide a cozy and secluded environment if dining inside is something you are not comfortable with or if you simply like to dine outside. We hope these will provide a fun and comfortable addition to the Event Lawn. We are off to a busy spring and hope that regulations and social norms will continue to return to normalcy. I hope to see you out and around campus enjoying what will hopefully be some nice spring weather! As always, if there are things we can do to better serve you and your family please let me know.

Charlie
