Dear ACC members,
I’m very thankful and blessed to have served as your Director of Racquet Sports for the past twelve and a half years. During this time, it's been a fun adventure watching the club evolve and exciting to see the growth of the department, especially with pickleball.
Back in the day, when life lessons were taught, my dad and grandfather would tell me to “always leave something better than you found it” . The goal was to increase participation, to make experiences fun and exciting for members, create new amenities and leave the club better off than when I started in 2012. Men’ s Tennis Night, USTA leagues, 10 & under junior development, the Winston Salem Open “experience” , junior tennis team champions, dedicated pickleball courts, basketball court / playground, new HyQ clay courts, Dinks n Drinks, PlayTeam Pickleball League Champions, etc. All those successes could not have been accomplished without the support, commitment and participation of all club members.
Additionally, I’m extremely thankful for my wingman, Stefan. It has been an adventure watching him grow and mature over the years into a strong Assistant Director for ACC. I’m confident that he, and your new director, Bob Starr, will continue to increase participation and take the Racquet Sports department to the next level.
I will forever treasure my time at ACC. I will remember the long hours, the amazing events, the great friendships and countless lasting memories. It was never just a job for me. I loved every minute of my service to ACC. I will never forget the impact YOU made on my life and the fingerprints YOU left on my heart.
With all of that said, I am excited about starting a new chapter with my beautiful wife, Ronni. We have some bucket list items on the agenda, traveling to historical places, competing in pickleball events, playing golf and relaxing on a lake. Thank you for touching my heart and for all the lasting memories. It has been a blessing and my pleasure to have served a wonderful community and my second family.
All the best for many years to come.
