Hello A.C.C. Family! I wanted to take a moment and share with you a few updates and reminders that are important as we start to see signs of Spring. To begin with if you are in the habit of not reading these letters or the weekly updates that come from the Club I am asking you to change that habit. We pack a lot of information into the weekly updates, it is the single best place to learn about what's going on around the Club. They are designed to be flipped through quickly enough that it doesn't take 5 minutes to find the information you're looking for, probably only 30 seconds. If you don't want to miss out on something or experience some embarrassment because you were unaware of something going on that you were not prepared for, then please read the weekly updates and these types of letters. Playground and Basketball Court This is a reminder as weather gets nice that for our basketball court the limit on guests is 3 per member. If you have a larger group of friends that you want to play with please make sure that there is a 3:1 ratio of guests to members. Basketball goal should be adjusted with adult supervision. Also please remember that no spiked shoes, wheeled toys, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, or wagons are allowed on the court. Strollers are permitted in the playground area only, but not on the courts. The only exception to this is a wheelchair. For those of you who like to walk your dog around campus please know that the playground and basketball courts are off limits to our fourlegged children. A leashed and wellbehaved dog may join you on the Event Lawn when there is not an event in progress. We simply ask that you be sure to pick up after your pup. Golf Carts We definitely see a lot of activity when the weather provides, and we are seeing more and more abuse of our golf carts and usage. We have a beautiful campus and course, but there are areas where golf carts should not be. The event lawn is an area used by many different members for many different purposes, but carts should never be on any of the grassy areas or planted beds. On the course our tees and our greens are the areas that receive the most traffic. Keeping carts on path in these areas, and away from bunkers, ensures that we can preserve the quality playing conditions we all brag about and that we all patiently awaited during the renovation. We are seeing traffic patterns on our dormant grass that show evidence of folks taking carts where they do not belong. I am asking that if this is something you've started doing to please stop. The golf course and campus belong to all members of the Club and we have rules and guidelines in place to ensure that everyone gets to enjoy amenities at the highest level possible. When the rules are broken it hurts your fellow members and eventually you as the individual. We have some wonderful spaces around our club and golf carts are certainly part of our environment please be safe and respectful, and only operate a cart in the appropriate areas.
NEWS & INFORMATION FOR THE MEMBERS OF ALAMANCE COUNTRY CLUB
Mask Update At the Board of Directors meeting this week it was decided that we could now move to a "mask optional" policy for our staff. Going forward our staff who work inside will no longer be required to wear a mask unless they are following protocols from the CDC following a close contact or positive test and are recovering. If you feel more comfortable having a member of our Food and Beverage team serve you with a mask on we would be happy to honor that request. All you need to do is make note of that in your reservation in the "notes" section. If you call in, simply say so in the conversation making the reservation, or if you walk in you may ask in person too. We want both our members and our staff to feel comfortable and we understand that everyone has a different level of comfort with masks. I look forward to seeing you in the dining room without a mask, and for you to get to know our newer staff that you likely haven't seen without a mask. We've got some great smiles ready to greet you! I hope everyone has a great weekend coming up. We're just under three months from the pool opening, MemberMember, Memorial Day, and the start of Swim Team season. Enjoy the spring because it will go by fast and there is a ton of fun to be had in the next three months! See you at the Club!

Dear Friends, Morning Kids Club is so much fun! We will continue to have morning Kids Club till May 26th. My favorite season is coming, Spring! We will continue to have dramatic play but will add hands on science and concept of print. This fun is for any age, 6months to 5 years old. PLEASE Register on the ACC website for each day and the cost is $20.00 per morning. You have to register to come by the day before! Come and play with us! ACC Club Camp - June 20-24 Nature Camp ACC Club Camp - July 25-29 STEAM CAMP (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math)
At our Future Stars Camp, your camper will learn Tennis and Golf skills and techniques.
At our ACC Club Camp we will have a theme each week. Our first week (June 20-24) will be our Nature Camp. We will have creative projects and activities to spark curiosity in the outdoors. Week Two (July 25-29) will be our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) Camp. This week will will do awesome hands-on projects for aspiring artists and engineers.
At our Global Culinary Camp, your camper will learn skills in the kitchen and use those to create different types of food from all over the world. We will also exlore games, crafts and learn more about the culture of the area. At the end of the week, we will show our skills with a special dinner for our parents!
