News Around the Club December 10 December 24, 2021 Dear A.C.C. Family, On December 2, 2021 our Annual Stockholder Meeting was held where the past fiscal year was reviewed, the audit is shared, and the new class of directors is announced. This year’s meeting was relatively brief and straightforward. The slide deck shown at the meeting will be made available shortly along with the 2021 audited financials on the website, you’ll need to log in to view them. In short summary the past year was a great year for the Club as a whole. We began to return to some semblance of normal in certain parts of the Club, utilization was up, and our membership is just over 500 members. Our good financial position was driven by a dynamic year of new members joining the family and the opportunity to claim some federal dollars via tax credits. At this point we have good reserves, a solid longterm plan for repairs and maintenance around campus, and a strategic plan that the Board of Directors is actively working to complete. In 2022 you should anticipate seeing more communications about the planning for the future plans of the downstairs (old Ross Grill) and the pool and pavilion. You will likely continue to see strong utilization of all areas of the Club and programs that adapt and grow to meet these needs. You should also look forward to FUN! The team at ACC is looking forward to continuing to return to normal with key positions now filled and a vibrant membership. Helping to set the direction of this year is your dedicated Board of Directors. As we say “Thank You” to Janie Sellers, Tiffany Pittard, and Michael Splawn we get to welcome our new class of directors. Last night stockholders elected Katie Boon, Scott Self, and Jim Crouch. While the Board has the important responsibility of setting the strategic direction of the Club, it is the committees that help advise and work with our Department Leaders to really make things go. You should have received a Committee Interest Form on December 6, 2021 in your inbox. I hope that you will do a few things; First is open it up! Look at the different committees your Club has. Second, think about what you’re passionate about here at the Club or perhaps a subject matter that you’re skilled at represented by one of those committees. Third, complete the form and send it back to me! While this is not a guarantee that you will be asked to serve on a committee it greatly increases the chances, it’s hard to be asked if nobody knows you’re interested. The intention of this is to put folks who are interested in serving in the places they match up with. Some of you have served many years and on several committees and I thank you for that commitment. You are more than welcome to complete the Interest Form to let the Board know of your interest. If you’ve never served, this is a great opportunity to step up and learn about how your Club operates. I look forward to a great 2022. As always, please reach out to me if I can answer any questions or concerns about Club operations. Thank you for your support this past year. I hope to see you around the Club this Christmas season! Sincerely, Charlie Nolette
