PAIRING PERFECTION

PairingPerfection:PattyBrothers&MelvaSharpeon WineDinners

Left to Right: Patty Brothers & Melva Sharpe Wine Dinners at Alamance Country Club have become a highlight for many members, offering an evening of fine dining, wine selections, and a warm community. Two members recently shared their thoughts on what makes these evenings so memorable.

Patty Brothers shared that what excites her most is exploring the diverse world of wines and experiencing how they harmonize with Chef Kenneth’s creative menus. “His culinary prowess is remarkable, and when he ventures beyond his comfort zone to create meals for our wine dinners, it’s awe-inspiring. The lively chatter and excitement in the room, all centered around our shared passion for wine and food, create an unforgettable experience.”

Patty also noted that Wine Dinners are the perfect opportunity to sample a variety of wines before purchasing, adding, “ACC offers such an incredible deal on the wines served during the dinners that it’s difficult to resist returning.”

For Melva Sharpe, who has been a member for nearly four decades, Wine Dinners have been a cherished tradition since their beginning at the Club. “We think the thoughtful selection of wines and expertly paired menus always make for an exceptional evening. Every detail is impressive it’s clear a lot of care goes into curating each dinner, and the atmosphere is welcoming and fun. It’s also a perfect way to connect with fellow members. We are so appreciative of Blair, Chef Kenneth, and the staff for consistently delivering such memorable wine events.”

Their reflections highlight what many members already know—Wine Dinners at ACC are about more than just food and wine. They are about community, discovery, and creating experiences that stay with you long after the evening ends.
