Alamance Country Club Membership RE: Reciprocal Golf Update Our Golf Course Project will begin June 1st. We have some wonderful partners assisting us with our member golf play while we complete the project. We’d like to take a moment to identify important guidelines that will make our reciprocal experience as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Our partners have been gracious in extending play privileges and we want to make sure that we plan accordingly when visiting their facilities: ▪
All tee time requests and reservations for our Private Club partners must be arranged through the ACC Golf Shop, per our respective Reciprocal Agreements – please do not contact these facilities directly to request times
▪
When requesting tee times through the ACC Golf Shop, please confirm all players in your group so that their information may be provided to the host course
▪
Allow ample time for travel and plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before the starting time (more if you wish to warm-up before play) so that you can familiarize yourself with the facility
▪
Register with the host Golf Shop as soon as you arrive and confirm those joining you
▪
Provide member numbers when charging back to your Alamance CC account, remembering to sign and print your name on tickets when possible
▪
Ask the professional staff at the facility for any instructions or important information regarding your visit – tee markers, food and beverage options, practice facility rules, course directions, local rules, and any special instructions regarding visitors
▪
Always thank the professional staff in the Golf Shop at the completion of play
▪
Inform the ACC Golf Shop of any changes or alterations to your reservation as soon as possible so we may communicate those changes to the host club (as well as to ensure billing accuracy)
Every facility has its own organization of tees, rules for play, and protocols that they expect their members and guests to follow. Our efforts in following these guidelines will ensure we faithfully represent our wonderful membership and ACC. As these courses begin their own tournament seasons, preferred times at preferred private courses may become more and more difficult to secure. A list of neighboring courses open for public play is available to you in the Golf Shop and on the Club Website Golf Page. Many of these facilities offer wonderfully conditioned and challenging courses. Information regarding arranging tee times, golf and cart rates, and contacting these facilities has been provided and arrangements for play may be made directly by the member. We encourage you to visit the websites of these facilities (where available) and keep these courses as possibilities when planning your days for golf. Please keep in mind that some of these facilities may require a credit card to book a tee time and this practice has become normal protocol for many public courses. Do not hesitate to call the Golf Shop if you have any questions regarding either the Private or Public courses. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this exciting time. These lists may continue to grow and/or change and we will announce these updates as we receive them. Very best regards,
Drake Woodside, PGA Director of Golf Alamance Country Club
