PAROS is not just a sofa but a reef to live on and around

For the design of PAROS, Jean-Marie Massaud drew inspiration from the vernacular architecture of the Mediterranean, from Greece to Spain, Italy to North Africa. Essential, consistent and charming, the Mediterranean style has endured for centuries and will continue to do so, Massaud believes, for centuries to come. According to the designer, PAROS embodies this same “quest for the essential” while reflecting “the art of living with the sun.”

PAROS von Jean-Marie Massaud ist ein klassisches DEDON Sofa — mit zeitgenössischem Twist. Die raumgreifenden Proportionen, die luxuriöse Präsenz und der Komfort des geflochtenen, modularen LoungeMöbels verweisen auf die Wurzeln der Marke DEDON. Die flache Form, die Edelstahlfüße und die speziell für PAROS entwickelte, auffallend natürliche DEDON Faser machen das Sofa zu einer Klasse für sich.

Rustikal und doch raffiniert, zeitlos und dabei modern: PAROS ist eine Kollektion, die optisch mit ihrer Umgebung verschmilzt und über Generationen hinweg Freunde und Familie willkommen heißt.

Die mediterrane Architektur — von Griechenland bis Spanien, über Italien bis nach Nordafrika — inspirierte Jean-Marie Massaud für das PAROS Design. Seit Jahrhunderten prägt ein charmanter, reduzierter Baustil den Mittelmeerraum und wird es auch in den kommenden Jahrhunderten noch tun, davon ist Massaud überzeugt. PAROS verkörpert laut Massaud jene „Suche nach dem Wesentlichen“ und spiegelt „die durch die Sonne geprägte südliche Lebenskunst“ wider.

ROII by Benjamin Baum is a contemporary expression of pure DEDON DNA. This fully woven collection encompasses side chairs, armchairs and a comfortable lounge chair, combined in two distinct weaving styles and an eye-catching mix of colors, textures and patterns. Compact yet comfortable, ROII is equally at home atop a beach dune, on an urban balcony, or poolside amidst a full array of DEDON furniture. Lightweight, stackable and easy to move around, ROII is there when you need it, bringing people together for conversations all day long and deep into the night.

ROII von Benjamin Baum ist ein moderner Ausdruck der einzigartigen DEDON DNA. Die in zwei unterschiedlichen Stilen geflochtenen Stühle und Sessel zeichnet eine markante Kombination aus Farben, Texturen und Mustern aus. Ob in den Dünen, auf dem städtischen Balkon oder am Pool — die kompakten, bequemen ROII Möbel sind überall zu Hause.

Sie sind leicht, stapelbar und einfach zu transportieren — und immer da, wenn man sie braucht. Für eine schöne gemeinsame Zeit unter freiem Himmel, den ganzen Tag lang und auch mal bis tief in die Nacht hinein.

Designer Benjamin Baum schuf mit ROII eine Kollektion, die DEDONs handwerklicher Tradition treu bleibt und sie ebenso neuartig wie subtil zum Ausdruck bringt. Das Ergebnis beschreibt Baum als „zeitloses Design mit einem verspielten Farbspektrum, das die traditionelle Handwerkskunst und damit die DNA von DEDON widerspiegelt.“

Lightweight, dynamic and adaptable

Taking DEDON’s hand-weaving heritage as his starting point, designer Benjamin Baum envisioned a collection that was rooted in the company’s artisanal tradition but that expressed it in a new and subtle way. The result, in Baum’s own words, is ‘a timeless design with a playful color scheme that reflects the craftsmanship of the weavers, and thus the DNA of DEDON.’

A DEDON classic, MBRACE by Sebastian Herkner has garnered acclaim for its inviting, organic form and modern material mix of DEDON Fiber and teak or die-cast aluminum. This multiple-award-winning lounge and dining collection now welcomes two additions—a club chair and a vibrant new fiber colorway, seville—that heighten its appeal and versatility. The club chair condenses the collection’s visual language into a slimmer, more compact form that’s ideal for settings such as balconies and terraces, bringing the irresistible charm and comfort of MBRACE to the urban outdoors.

Drawn to the outdoor possibilities of city living, Sebastian Herkner focused on the club chair as typology that would cater to smaller spaces without compromising the distinctive spirit of MBRACE. The result is a reduced version of the collection’s signature lounge chair, one that preserves the organic design language of MBRACE while offering cosmopolitan elegance and flexibility. “It’s a lightweight, easily storable piece,” Herkner remarks, perfect “for residential towers, terrace gatherings or those last-minute arrangements.”

Iconic Danish textile producer Kvadrat brings its Atrium Outdoor collection to DEDON in seven stunning colors, two of which will be offered exclusively by DEDON until 2024. Designed by Patricia Urquiola, the collection, which can be used indoors and out, boasts exceptional durability, rich textures and a subtly vibrant pattern.

Innovative, inviting and made to high standards of quality, the collection is a perfect match to the DEDON furniture it adorns.

Inspiration With Atrium Outdoor, Kvadrat and Patricia Urquiola sought to recreate the tactile beauty of the designer’s indoor textile collections for the brand. In doing so, they envisioned a pattern that was modern and precise yet evoked the organic expressions found in nature. This same thinking inspired the textile’s color palette, which draws on natural elements to create neutral yet distinctively characterful tones— from white to terracotta hues and from nuanced greens to a bright yellow shade.

Dabei schwebte ihnen ein Muster vor, das modern und präzise ist und gleichzeitig an die organischen Ausdrucksformen der Natur erinnert. Dieser Gedanke inspirierte auch die Farbpalette des Outdoorstoffs. Das Textil hat eine einfarbige Basis mit einem dezent lebendigen Muster.

So entstehen neutrale, aber charaktervolle Farbtöne, die der Natur entlehnt sind. Sie reichen von Weiß zu Terrakotta-Nuancen und von Grünschattierungen bis hin zu einem leuchtenden Gelbton.
