An embracing collection for your comfortable life The outdoor space in our home is more important than ever and plays a bigger role in how we think of “home”. We tend to re-think how we decorate and organize the outdoor spaces of our home as we long for an embracing homely feeling in an informal atmosphere. Therefore, the keywords for the news collection 2022 are comfortability, embracement and nature resulting in furniture with high comfort, soft materials and warm colours.

Nature is the most important source of inspiration for Cane-line and here we find shapes and colours for our designs.

We have for many years been working thoroughly with CSR and we take our responsibility seriously for safeguarding our nature and its resources. Therefore, we strive to have a CO²-neutral headquarter in 2025.

The DNA of Cane-line, “life made comfortable”, is reflected in every design and product, offering high quality, all-weather furniture with a long lifespan, low maintenance and high comfort. In all stages of our working process, we always ensure that our furniture is made with the greatest care for our environment and the well-being of people.

Our production is committed to a healthy environmental policy and an ongoing focus on minimizing our societal and environmental impact.

Our core value is comfort in all aspects of our furniture. We have used countless hours developing and choosing the right designs, technology and materials. Comfort for us is how well you sit or lay, how smooth our furniture functions, the very low maintenance, our QuickDry & Airflow system, the easy cleaning and the long lasting materials. Our mission “life made comfortable” is total comfort for you.

This means among others that no child labour is allowed and that wage levels are fair and in accordance with local legislation. In addition, we are very conscious about using responsibly sourced materials and recycled materials as well as reducing material waste.

Cane-line is certified by ISO14001:2015 and audited by SMETA

by DNV-GL. Our corporate conduct and activities have earned international certifications submitting us to external control on an on-going basis. This is your guarantee that we are committed to safeguarding people and the environment.

All-weather furniture Cane-line designs can be used all over the world and under any climatic conditions. The strong frames, UV-resistant materials and quick drying cushions can stay out in glaring sun, pouring rain or frost. The materials in our outdoor collection withstand large temperature differences and season changes. To prolong product lifespan, we recommend that furniture is placed indoor during winter or covered with one of our furniture covers. The entire outdoor collection is easy to maintain, however ordinary cleaning of your furniture will keep it looking at its best for years and prolong its lifespan.

All products with the QuickDry & Airflow system symbol have cushions with QuickDryFoam®.

Meet our designers Cane-line works with leading Danish designers. They all share deep roots in the Danish design tradition built on craftsmanship, quality and distinctive expression. They also share an understanding of our Cane-line vision “life made comfortable”, which is integrated in every design.

Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen MDD Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen MDD are two of Scandinavia’s most renowned and successful furniture designers. Their goal is to create long-lasting value, and to stimulate a healthy development for people and their surroundings. They strive towards the highest quality in cooperation, process and product, and believe that knowledge and innovation are fundamental. The impressive use of exibility makes the furniture appear as small architectonic wonders.

Strand+Hvass Christina Strand (MDD) and Niels Hvass (MAA) are part of the new generation of Scandinavian designers. They believe that design itself is a strategy that can improve the conditions of human life, the environment and personal experiences. Additionally, they believe that design can be used as a tool to develop the competitive power and economic growth of society. Their design is usercentered and deeply rooted in the Scandinavian culture. Simplicity and well-balanced lines are the cornerstones of their work.

Welling/Ludvik The design duo Welling/Ludvik, Hee Welling and Gudmundur Ludvik, are contributing to the renewal of environmentally-friendly design centered around personal experience.

They are defined by a pure aesthetic, stripping away excess and letting each detail serve a functional purpose. They aim to achieve the best possible solution as seen from a number of perspectives. Comfort, materials, construction, pricing and environment are all defining factors in their approach to design.

byKATO ByKATO, Karl Rüdiger Rossell and Tonny Glismand, are dedicated to creating contemporary, highly usable products for everyday living. They aim to bridge the gap between commercial, industrial design and high-quality craftsmanship by using honest and justifiable materials and paying careful attention to even the smallest detail. Their mantra is to design products, which they would like to have themselves so they always take starting point in their own needs. In this way it all comes from the heart and the required enthusiasm is always present.

Søren Rose Studio Søren Rose Studio is well-known for his minimalist, Scandinavian style with strings into a modern and cosmopolitan expression. The location of the design studio in New York is a source of inspiration to a raw design style that goes aesthetically well in line with the Scandinavian design tradition. The combination has been refined by the design studio through its many years of existence on the international design scene.

Cane-line design team At Cane-line the core value for good design is comfort and we believe in the optimal mix between comfort aesthetics and functionality. Our internal design team is working with this in top of mind to create an optimal collection with unique products adding value to life and making life more comfortable. Cane-line design team is also working closely with our external designers.

Solution dyed polyester Parasol pole

Solution dyed polyester is a 100% solution dyed fibre material, which, due to the special manufacturing process, means that the colour permeates the entire fibre.

The fabric has a superior colour fastness, making it fade resistant.

The colour is extremely uniform, and the fabric is both UV resistant and water repellent, as well as resistant to powdery mildew. The fabric ventilates effectively, repelling condensation and moisture. In case of stains, we recommend pre-treating the fabric by washing it in warm water with a powerful detergent (e.g. Tide, Persil, Vanish). The fabric can then be washed at 30 degrees and subsequently air dried.

It is very important to check the fabric for stains and treat the specific stain before washing, as heat can set the stain, making it difficult to remove. High temperatures in the washing machine or a tumble dryer can cause the fibres to melt together, shrink or become misshapen. Water that is too hot can create permanent creases during the spin cycle.

Cushion composition Cane-line QuickDry & Airflow system offers cushions with our special QuickDryFoam®. The unique cushion composition with QuickDryFoam® ensures a quick drainage after heavy rain and an effective air circulation in humid weather conditions. The benefit is dry cushions approximately one hour after downpour and no risk of mould building inside the cushions due to the constant air circulation.

We recommend to store cushions indoors in a ventilated room or in one of our cushion boxes during winter season or when not in use for a longer period.

Cane-line Weave® is a fibre made from highly durable, solution dyed polyethylene (PE), which is ideal for outdoor use because it withstands moisture and large variations in temperature. Both the structure of the fibre and the weave ensure elasticity and optimal sitting comfort. The durable material is UV-resistant and requires minimal maintenance. Cane-line Weave® has been developed to withstand climate conditions all over the world and the material will retain its colour and shape for many years. Cane-line Weave® fibre can vary slightly in colour, creating a nice contrast in the surface of the weave. This gives the furniture a unique, natural and exclusive look.

Cane-line Rope is a combination of a woven Selected PP covering (a thermoplastic fibre) over a core of Cane-line Weave®. The material is elastic and has a soft surface that acts like a fabric. Avoid pulling/pushing the elastic material too hard as this may cause it to lose its shape.

For more thorough cleaning, all pillow covers can be removed and machine-washed at 30°C. Make sure the cover is completely dry before putting it back on the pillow.

Cane-line Teak

Stainless Steel

Cane-line teak is approved and forested under the SVLK – Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu (Indoneasia’s timber legality assurance system) certification system. Teak is a hardwood that is ideal for outdoor use due to its high oil content. Our teak material is grade A, meaning it is the best quality and characterised by the close grain and the warm honey golden-brown colour. The wood acquires a silver-grey patina over time. If you wish to retain the original golden-brown colour, we recommend treating teak furniture with a recommended teak protector. See Cane-line care products.

All our aluminium furniture is powder coated. Powder coating serves as a protective layer that is tinted in a variety of colours. Aluminium furniture is ideal for use outdoors as well as indoors.

Stainless steel is extremely weatherproof. However, tarnishing can occur in the form of flash rust. This can be removed by using a stainless steel cleaner. Regular cleaning with soapy water helps to protect the surface of the stainless steel and thus minimise the effects of chlorine, etc. It is also advisable to wipe the frame with acid-free oil at least twice yearly to minimise tarnishing.

Powder coated hot dip galvanized steel

All our steel furniture is hot-dip galvanized, which by far is the best corrosion protection of steel. Unlike only using paint which adheres to the surface of the steel, the galvanizing creates a hard-wearing and resistant surface with extraordinarily long life and requires only a minimum of maintenance. All our galvanized steel is afterwards powder coated for additional protection and aesthetic purposes.

All glass tops are made of thoughened glass. The glass has been through a process, where it has been heated to approx. 650 degrees and then cooled.

This curing of the glass makes it up to 5 times stronger than ordinary glass and less prone to cracking and breaking.

The ceramic tops are made of porcelain, which is an extremely strong material that can be left outdoors all year round. They are made using natural materials, so there may be small variations in colours between the tops.

HPL / high pressure laminate

Cane-line HI-Core

Cast Iron

Compact laminate is a very suitable material for outdoor use. The material is resin-impregnated paper, compressed under very high pressure creating a strong top with a scratch-resistant surface. These table tops require basically no maintenance and can remain outdoors all year round. Compact laminate will naturally fade slightly at the edges over time. In order to maintain the deep black colour, the edges can be re-freshed up by rubbing a little linseed oil on them. It is recommended that you cover the table with a furniture cover in the autumn and winter period.

Cane-line "Hi-Core" Stone is an innovative and durable Hi-tech composite core material developed specially for all weather outdoor use.

The components are mainly acrylic, which gives high durability and abrasion resistance.

Cane-line HI-Core has an elegant smooth and soft surface that rejects moisture, dirt and bacteria.

We recommend that you cover the table with a furniture cover during the autumn and winter period.

Cast iron from Cane-line is composed of alloy of iron, carbon and silicon, which together provide a material particularly suitable for products that require great strength and heat resistance. Continuous maintenance is important, as otherwise over time, you will see rust formation on the surface in the places where the paint has been scratched and worn. Make sure to regularly remove ash from the fire pit, wash it off in clean water and dry it thoroughly when the items are cold.

The product gets hot during use, so do not touch the product without gloves that can withstand the heat, and be aware of local legislation regarding the use of fire pits.

Use of the fire pit is at your own risk (both to yourself and others).

Cane-line Care Teak is a tropical wood material that has a beautiful golden brown colour. However, the teak material will, gain a silver-grey patina over time if not treated.
