Al Ain Zoo launched today its Arabian sand cat conservation programme to protect the sand cat in cooperation with its strategic partners through various workshops hosted by the zoo.

AL AIN ZOO RECORDS OVER 411 ANIMAL BIRTHS SINCE BEGINNING OF 2020

Al Ain Zoo witnessed more than 411 animal births in the first half of 2020, including many from the Arabian Gazelle, followed by its carnivores, ruminants (antelopes and gazelles), birds, reptiles, and other species, thanks to its breeding programmes for endangered species

L AIN ZOO LANDSCAPES ITS SPACES WITH LOCAL PLANTS

Al Ain Zoo has beautified an area of 1,303 square meters using native plants, including Pulicariaglutinosa, Nannorrhopsritchiana, Carallumaarabica, and Senna, in addition to Ghaf, Lawsonialnermis, and pomegranate trees, Most of these native plants are grown in the zoo’s glasshouse nursery

Al Ain Zoo celebrated World Chimpanzee Day, an occasion to encourage international humanitarian action to care for, protect, and preserve chimpanzees in the wild

AL AIN ZOO PROTECTS WHITE BENGAL TIGER

Al Ain Zoo has participated in a number of global programmes that aim to protect threatened species, including the white Bengal tiger, which is endangered under the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s classification system. Currently, only about 3,800 of these tigers remain in the wild
