Quiche Sans is a high-contrast, sans serif typeface with monoline stroke endings, angled stems, and geometricproportions. A sibling to the Quiche family, with the ball terminal endings removed. With weights ranging from thin to black and matching italics, there are a variety of applications that the fonts can be used for: print, web, branding, advertising, magazines, products, packaging, labels, etc. The design is influenced by the serif didone genre, characterized by its elegance and extreme thick/ thins, but it removes the serifs for a unique and modern expression and tapers out the stroke endings for a sophisticated monoline appearance. Quiche Sans has many OpenType features, including: Multiple stylistic alternates. Swash capitals. Ligatures. Fractions, subscripts, and superscripts. This font has extensive Latin language support for Western, Central, and South Eastern European.

Quiche Sans ANOTOMY of TYPE

Q A W R

The bowl of the ‘Q’ is perfectly round with varied stroke weight at the top and bottom. The tail of the ‘Q’ does not cross the stroke. The terminal is flared with contrasting stroke weight and a flat terminal. The axis of the bowl is verticle.

The apex of the ‘A’ is straight. The stroke weight is heavily contrasted between the two stems and crossbar. The stems and the crossbar are attached to each other where as the other Quiche families are not.

The apexes of the ‘W’ are slanted. The stroke weight is heavily contrasted between the two stems and all are connected where as the other Quiche families are not. The families have other embellishments on the stems.

The crossbar of the ‘R’ is attached to the stem but the leg is not. Also, the leg is not flared like the tail of the ‘Q’. Like the other letters shown the stroke weight. The other Quiche families the crossbar and leg are not attached to the stem. The families have other have embellishments on the legs.

Quiche Sans ANOTOMY of TYPE

The lower case ‘g’ is a monocular with varying stroke weight. The terminal is not flared but the stem is slanted.

The ‘a’ is a two-story letter. The stroke weight is heavily contrasted. The Flare and Stencil families have embellishments on the arc of the stem ending with a flare or a ball. The bowl in the Stencil is not connected to the stem.

The stem of the ‘t’ is slanted. The stroke weight is contrasted between the stems and the cross bar. Also, the crossbar is not centered on the stem with the the bar longer on the right side. There is a slight tail with a flat terminal.

The stroke weight of the ‘j’ is varies and it is shown in the tail. The tail ending with a flat terminal. The stem is slanted like the ‘t’, and the dot is perfectly circular. In the other type families, the tail ends with a flare or a ball. While the dot does not change between families.
