Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Thank you for attending the Alabama Trucking Association’s 78th Annual Convention & Meeting. We are so grateful for your support and attendance and proud you have made the journey to Las Vegas with us. We have so much planned this week that I’m not sure where to begin. First, I’d like to thank all of our incredible corporate sponsors for making our meeting a top-notch event. When we voted to bring this meeting to Las Vegas, Gary Bond, 2016 we worried that due to logistical concerns there might be a Convention Chairman slight dip in participation. That hasn’t been the case at all. We are so grateful for their kind donations and support of this Association. A full list of these businesses is found at the centerspread of this booklet. Each one of these companies is a credit to Alabama’s trucking industry. Many, if not all of them, are regular supporters of the Alabama Trucking Association and its mission to serve and protect Alabama truckers. The next few days will be jam packed with informative meetings; thought provoking discussions; and endless world class entertainment options. If you have questions or concerns during the meeting, find me or one of the ATA staff members, and we will do everything we can to assist you. Meanwhile, the following pages provide the information you need to make the most of this meeting. Buckle up, we have a great week planned.

Business Session Friday, April 29, 9-11 a.m. – Acacia Ballroom

Friday morning’s Business Session will feature presentations from several ATA leaders to discuss pressing topics affecting our Association and the trucking industry as a whole. Keynote speaker for the meeting is Retired Marine Lt. Col. Robert J. Darling, author of “24 Hours inside the President’s Bunker: 9-11-01: The White House.” Mr. Darling is a former White House military office airlift operations liaison officer with more than two decades of active military service. He also held high-level federal government assignments, including several years as a top adviser for the George W. Bush Administration and the Presidential Emergency Operations Center. His recent book details his time with the president’s emergency operations center on September 11, 2001 (See full bio on page 7).

ATA Workers’ Comp Fund Membership Meeting Following Mr. Darling’s presentation, the Alabama Trucking Association Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Fund will hold its Annual Membership Meeting. All attendees are welcome and encouraged to participate.

ATA Workers’ Comp Fund
