Recruitment SDT Basic Information Sigma Delta Tau, a National Sorority for college women, was founded at Cornell University on March 25, 1917.

SDT is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference and has over 50,000 alumnae from over one hundred college campuses across the United States and Canada.

We host informal informal recruitment process a week after formal recruitment, but we are looking to be involved in the first two days of formal recruitment in the near future. We do not require letters of recommendation, but you are welcome to submit them.

Philanthropy

New Member Costs $1,299.50 for first semester as a New Member

Mission Statement The mission of Sigma Delta Tau is to enrich the lifetime experience of women of similar ideals, to build lasting friendships, and to foster personal growth.

Sigma Delta Tau shall encourage each member to reach her fullest potential by providing intellectual, philanthropic, leadership and social opportunities within a framework of mutual respect and high ethical standards.

Housing We have a house at Smith Wood Circle. It is behind the Biology building, and next to the Transportation Hub. Living in the house is based on by application, but we are always happy to put girls on a waiting list.

Scholarship New Members are required to do 4 monitored study hall hours.

All other actives have study hall hours based on each member’s GPA.
