Thank You for Giving!
from June 2023 Baldwin
Community generosity shines at two charitable drives.
Spring was the season, local families in need were the reason. And overwhelming kindness was the response.
On April 27, Baldwin EMC held its annual Spring Into Action blood drive, benefiting LifeSouth Community Blood Center and our local hospitals. The staff from LifeSouth collected 63 pints of blood, which can go on to save more than 180 lives in our community.

Also during the month of April, Baldwin EMC partnered with WKRG for the second annual "Stock the Pantry" drive, to help Feeding the Gulf Coast, Inc., provide meals to local kids facing food insecurities.

The drive went on for just under a month, during which time Baldwin EMC collected hundreds of pounds of food donations.
These contributions will be used to make sure local children have access to food during the summer break, when school meals aren't available.
"At Baldwin EMC, empathy is one of our core values. For us, that means understanding that there are needs in our community that go beyond electricity," says Mark Ingram, Baldwin EMC's vice president of corporate services and public relations. "As long as those needs are there, we will continue to participate in events and programs like Stock the Pantry and our blood drives."
To stay up to date on the other special events Baldwin EMC has on the horizon, follow the cooperative on Facebook (facebook.com/BaldwinEMC) and Instagram (@baldwinemc). Louis to save lives during Baldwin EMC's Spring Into Action drive.
Kid-friendly food donations filled the hardto-miss red barrels at all three Baldwin EMC office locations during the month of April.
