Alpha Kappa Psi is a co-ed business fraternity open to all majors, and it is the oldest and largest business fraternity to current date. AKPsi focuses on developing its members into future principled business leaders through professional development events, advice from brothers, service projects, and other amazing growth opportunities. The theme for this year’s scrapbook is “Now Playing: An Alpha Kappa Psi Story,” which shows our journey and growth as a chapter after almost a full year online. Back on campus with in-person events, our brothers were excited to build off upon our strong brotherhood. With special guests of visiting speakers, exciting debuts of execs and committees, and a curtain call for our seniors, this school year was basically a movie! We hope you enjoy reflecting on all of the special moments that make our chapter special! CASTING CALL: FALL 2021
The Fall 2021 recruitment theme was Nickelodeon. After a full year online, actives and PNMs were excited to get the opportunity to bond over fun in-person events like Beercade, Resume Night, Mama’s Pizza, Soccer Concessions, and Park Cleanup!

AUDITIONS: SPRING 2022
The Delta Pi chapter had a successful recruitment in the Spring of 2022! The recruitment theme was Wii - Sports / Winter Olympics. We hosted fun activities such as letter writing, bowling, a Creighton watch party, and resume workshop!

The Delta Pi chapter welcomed a new pledge class of 24 members in the Fall of 2021 and 21 new members in the Spring of 2022! Our brothers had a great time seeing our new members be initiated and learn our mottos and handshake. We are so excited to see our chapter grow. HAYRACK RIDE
The Hayrack ride is a fun tradition in AKPsi that we do every fall. Both brothers and pledges bundled up and headed down to Shady Lane Ranch to spend some quality time with each other. Later they roasted marshmallows and got to know each other after a fun hayrack ride!

BROTHERHOOD RETREAT The Brotherhood Retreat was a huge success this year! Our brothers traveled to Griswold, IA to take a break from classes and hangout with each other. We had many brotherhood bonding activities such as a gourmet lunch with uncrustables, speed dating, relay races, kickball, capture the flag, card games, and a nature walk!

Our brothers had an amazing time at our country club themed semi-formal! There was a DJ, lots of dancing, and a nacho bar! Thank you to our EVP and Brotherhood Committee for planning a successful semi!

BROTHERHOOD KAHOOT Another special shoutout to our Brotherhood Committee for hosting a great Kahoot! game night for our brothers at chapter. They had the chance to get to know each other by playing 3 truths and a lie. Our brothers had to guess which answer was the lie!

More in-person concessions! The Delta Pi Chapter had a great time volunteering at the women’s soccer game by running concessions! Our brothers sold hot dogs and pretzels while getting to know each other better. By volunteering, brothers get to bond and practice customer service (and we get to keep the tips too!) 36
SERVICE RETREAT
Members of our chapter attended a service retreat at the Stephen Center! The retreat included resume feedback and discussion, community building, talks about incorporating strengths in the workplace, and bingo. Shoutout to our EVP and Service & Fundraising Committee for organizing a great event!
TRUNK OR TREAT HAPPY HALLOWEEKEND! The Delta Pi chapter volunteered at the Nebraska Spina Bifida Trunk or Treat event! Brothers got to interact with kids while passing out goodies and decorating their cars. What a fun night! 37

Brothers and actives alike went to Brickway Brewery & Distillery in the Old Market for our Spring Alumni Event! They enjoyed appetizers, chicken and pulled pork sandwiches, and a cash bar while catching up. BLACK HISTORY MONTH
In honor of Women’s history month, the Delta Pi chapter celebrated influential women in their lives. AKPsi stresses the importance of women in the workplace.
Alecia Fitzgerald and Ana Cullen created a list of influential women in business to learn more about. It’s always great to find a new role model! The marketing team also promoted films and provided resources to learn more about influential women in the world. The population of college educated women exceeds the population of educated men, yet there a disparity of women in executive and high positions in almost all professional fields. Therefore, there is an even greater need to learn about women in business.
February is Black History Month and serves as a reminder to celebrate the achievements and triumphs of African-Americans in U.S. History. While progress has been made, systemic racism in the workplace has still not been fully resolved. Over half of black employees have felt racism at work and only 3.2% of executives or senior manager-level employees are black. Black men are paid 13% less than white men, and black women are paid 39% less than white men. We remind you to continue to celebrate Black History Month this month and in the years to follow!

These 4 years go by in the blink of an eye and there is nothing better than to think about all the adventures you were part of and all the great friends and mentors you made along the way. 45

WORDS OF ADVICE: My advice for the underclassmen would be to get as involved as possible. Build relationships with your pledge class and use the connections you have made during your time to help you get either an internship or a job. Take advantage of all opportunities you are given.

Make a point to be deliberate about setting aside time for your relationships with others. Finally, try to live in the moment and enjoy these four years, because they go by faster than you could imagine.

SENIORS AMANDA ROSA MAJOR: Accounting and Business Intelligence and Analytics FUTURE PLANS: I will be working at Deloitte in Omaha in the Audit Department FAVORITE MEMORY: Brotherhood Retreat in Fall 2019 and going to PBLI in February 2020 WORDS OF ADVICE: College is the only time in your life that you can be truly selfish. There is no one depending on you and you are mostly on your own. Take chances and do everything your heart and mind is desiring to do! Make sure to take time to create relationships with people around you. Especially the AKPsi brothers, get to know them and learn from them. There are so many good people in our chapter, take advantage of that :). And last but not least, do not be afraid to ask for help. No one knows what they are really doing but also there are so many people out there that are willing to help you.
