KALIBO, Aklan (PIA) -- Aklan’s provincial officials duly elected during the May 9, 2022 national and local elections had been proclaimed by the Provincial Board of Canvassers (PBOC) here. The proclamation held, May 10, at the Aklan Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall which served as the venue for the canvassing of votes, was led by Aklan acting Provincial Election Supervisor lawyer Reinier Layson who chairs the PBOC, with Commission on Audit (COA) Supervising Auditor Katherine S. Cuyong as vice chair, and DepEd Division Superintendent Dr. Miguel Mac Aposin as member-secretary. Proclaimed were elected governor Jose Enrique Miraflores, re-elected vice governor lawyer Reynaldo Quimpo, re-elected representative Carlito Marquez for Aklan’s first legislative district; and Teodorico Haresco, the re-elected representative for Aklan’s second legislative district. Also proclaimed were Aklan’s new set of Sangguniang Proclaimed provincial winners in Aklan composed of incoming governor, Panlalawigan members. For the first district, proclaimed were Nemesio Neron, vice governor, representatives from the 1st and 2nd districts of Aklan, and Sangguniang Panlalawigan members from the 1st and second legislative districts.
