1 DORIS FARM RETREAT

The Doris Farm Retreat will be a getaway for visitors and residences that want to have a place to stay, relax, participate in wellness activities, attend events, and socialize. The purpose of the small design of the buildings is to compose a minimal or tiny home feeling. These lodges are accessible to all people as they serve as a place to stay with a connection to the outdoors. Furniture in these homes are flexible and transformable--suited for tiny homes--therefore saving space. The site will consist of 15 double occupancy cottages (house on the left in image below) and 20 single occupancy cottages (house on the right) with either being part of a cluster of other cottages or more privatized. Each student is assigned one single and one double occupancy cottage to design of their own with the southern vernacular design type.
