The LTG's Thoughts... Hello Everyone! My name is Akhil Pinnapareddy and I am so honored to serve as the LTG for Division 25 and 31S of T-O Key Club for 2022-2023! I apologize for the iffy communications, but I hope to get to know everyone and work together successfully! I plan on getting in touch with everyone to start obtaining info about the officers of clubs and to establish communications by creating a Division 25/31S GroupMe soon (possibly a remind). Some of my other duties in the upcoming year will include holding divisional council meetings and serving on a district committee while serving as a liaison between the district and our divisions. I will also be visiting clubs, and coordinate with other divisions in our region to hold a RTC to train new officers in a few months. I will be providing monthly updates through emails with newsletters like these. I hope y'all are excited for the summer! Sincerely, Akhil Pinnapareddy

NOTE

"Yes. You saw correctly. That is indeed a feather in my hair. How did it get there? I do not know. And I do not question. The only thing I remember that night was the exhilaration of music". - Akhil, 2021 P.S. A little about me: I'm on my school's marching band! I play a mallet instrument for every season's show, but I play the drums for football games. My favorite song: Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence by Ryuichi Sakamoto. It's a lovely song, though it's very nostalgic

The Governor's Project

ABOUT This project is geared towards creating a supportive and encouraging environment in our home, schools, and communities through various service activities. There's no doubt that these last few years have been extremely difficult, with our generation having forced to combat challenges like isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in an extreme decline in mental health. These past few years may have hit many of our communities hard, but it's our time to rise up, level up, and fight back. By uplifting our peers and even the many strangers we see around us daily, we can see an increase in morale and mental health, EMPOWERING THE PEOPLE!

WHAT WE CAN DO Create and hang encouraging posters Raise donations for your local health care workers / teachers / First Responders, etc. Host public speaking/confidence forums for middle school and elementary students Write letters to your local elderly home Create baskets for patients in the hospital Create bookmarks with encouraging quotes and leave them in the library at school and around your community Collaborate with Erika's Lighthouse

Major Emphasis

Since the 1940s, Key Clubs have worked with March of Dimes to make a positive impact in the lives of babies everywhere. Today, Kiwanis members continue that culture of service by supporting the March of Dimes all year long by hosting service projects, raising funds and educating communities about the crisis of preterm birth.

Members work together by sponsoring fundraising events and conducting service projects at their local children's hospitals. Contact your local CMN hospital and invite a representative to a club meeting to share ideas and create a partnership.
