THE SCIENCE EXHIBITION ‘SPARK’
The Science Exhibition ‘SPARK’ was inaugurated and attended by District Educational Officer Mrs. Praneetha and District Science Officer Mr. Raghu Ramana. Over 300 exhibits were presented by the students. The event helped students develop scientific temperament, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. District Collector Mrs Sikta Patnaik (parent of LSHSA), visited the exhibits and expressed her utmost pleasure, appreciating the students for their confidence and communication skills. Sleepover Activity
Grade IV students at LSHSA had a ‘Sleepover’ activity arranged in December 2022. This was an exciting learning opportunity for both the students and teachers as they got to know each other well. For some of the students, this was the first time they had stayed away from home. It was a great way to build their confidence and be independent in a safe and familiar setting. FATHER’S DAY
The pre-schoolers of PJHSW celebrated Father’s Day with enthusiasm. The event commenced with students creating greeting cards for their fathers on this special occasion. It was heart-warming to see them share with their fathers, the many ways that they continue to touch their lives every day. Parents appreciated the school’s novel idea, as it nurtures this special bond, and gives the fathers an opportunity to know their children better.
At AKPs, children made handmade cards with the help of the teachers. Also, in a few schools, fathers were invited to the learning centers where they played games along with the kids and clicked photos at the photo booth.

Visit To Old Age Home
Grade 7 students at LSHSA visited an Old Age Home in December, 2022, to share their love & warmth with the elderly people. The students managed to develop a bond with them by helping them with their daily routine. The students saw a vivid reflection of their grandparents in them. It was an enriching experience for all the students with a lifetime of memories and valuable lessons learnt. To know more about the event, Click here
SUMMER CAMP - FUN IN MUNDRA

The summer camp at AKSM helped students explore new ideas and gave them a break from ‘routine’ activities. This year the camp was organized for students from preprimary to grade 5. Students were spoilt for choice with the plethora of activities at the camp. They enjoyed activities like origami, yoga, drawing, craftwork, as well as storytelling. Career Counselling Workshop
Aga Khan School, Chitravad (AKSC), organized a career guidance workshop for Grades 10 to 12 in December, 2022. The workshop was led by two Chartered Accountants, who spoke about the nuances of choosing a suitable career and the criteria, which needed consideration, when making their choices. The session was followed by an interactive Q&A, career assessment and individual counselling to further support the students reflect on their strengths and weaknesses, and match them with their skills and interests to make suitable career choices. Investiture Ceremony
As with the schools across AKESI, AKSC organized its investiture ceremony to formally ‘invest’ the school’s student leaders for the new academic year. The event commenced with a march past by the previous as well as the newly elected council members. Then, the previous council members pinned the badge on the ‘incumbents’ and handed over the flags. This was followed by an oath ceremony. Both Ms. Vadher Priyanshi (Head Girl) and Mr. Patat Jashmin (Head Boy) delivered pertinent speeches, reiterating the importance of ‘student voice’ in the 21st century. To know more, Click here
Creating The Habit Of Reading
Aga Khan Preschools celebrated the “World Read Aloud Day” on 2nd February 2022. The celebrations with children and their parents helped spread awareness and the importance of reading during early childhood. Age-appropriate and engaging reading activities were planned and parents were encouraged to 'Read with Children' by creating a reading corner at home. Seeing the children have a gala time during the reading session, parents promised to read with their children for at least 5 minutes a day.

Raksha Bandhan Celebrations: DJHSH celebrated Raksha Bandhan with a difference. Here, students and staff tied a ‘rakhi’ to the plants as well as each other, to symbolise love and protection for all living things on this auspicious day. To know more about the event, Click here


Janmashtami Celebrations: The school also celebrated Janmashtami with much pomp and splendour, to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna. The primary students marked this occasion dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha, replete with colourful accessories like the flute, peacock feathers and the earthen pot. On this day, they not only learnt about the historical significance of the day but also its relevance in present times. To know more about the event, Click here
Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations: Ganesh Chaturthi was also celebrated with much excitement. The pre-primary students dressed up in celebratory ‘red’ attire, danced to the tunes of the festival and made beautiful Ganesh idols with clay. For the rest of the school, the auspicious day commenced with an act of worship (puja) followed by the enactment of a mythological play highlighting the significance of the day. Christmas Celebrations: Christmas was celebrated in schools with a brief introduction about the festival, carols, jingles, and dance. Students’ dance performances on the ‘Jingle Bells’ song added to the fun and merriment. To know more about the event, Click here
