Accessibility

We are proud to open our doors to everybody and make theatre accessible to all. Look out for these symbols throughout this brochure:

Audio Described – Live verbal commentary is given through headsets to assist patrons who are visually impaired. The description doesn’t change the performance for any guests, but fills in the gaps for those who require it.

BSL Interpreted – Trained British Sign

Language signers stand to one side of the stage and interpret the script used by the performers at the same time as the actions are being performed.

Relaxed – Offer a range of adaptions to both the theatre environment and the production itself. These may include reduced sound levels, removal of certain special effects and allow free movement in and out of the auditorium.

Touch Tour – Touch tour events offer immersive, sensory experiences tailored for blind and visually impaired audiences. These tours provide tactile exploration of stage sets, costumes and props before a performance, enhancing accessibility and connection to the show.

MobileConnect – The MobileConnect system amplifies the performance via your mobile phone or tablet. Audience members connected to the app will hear a live feed of the on-stage performance (with audio description, if attending an Audio Described performance), wherever they are sat in the auditorium. For more information, please visit atgtickets.com/access

Access Hosts – Dedicated members of staff will be on hand to ensure patrons with access requirements have everything they need.

THE MUSI CAL by Ir vine Welsh

Direct from the West End

Trainspotting The Musical

Direct from the West End.

Thirty years on from the film that changed everything, Trainspotting The Musical has its world premiere.

Written by Irvine Welsh with music & lyrics by Stephen McGuinness & Irvine Welsh and directed & developed by Caroline Jay Ranger.

Renton, Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud, Tommy and Kelly, the industrial drug-crazed, working-class heroes, are back.

This isn’t nostalgia, it’s closer than that. The past isn’t revisited – it lingers. The musical doesn’t tidy it. It sits with it.

Listens to it. And lets it sing. New songs, classic songs, a musical like never before. Not for the easily confronted.

Ages 15+. Contains scenes and depictions of drug-taking and death. Includes swearing and adult references.

‘I believe the musical has a bigger, loudly beating human heart than either the book or the film. People need to think about the world we’re living in, and we offer that inspection, but they also really need to sing their hearts out and laugh their heads off.’ – Irvine Welsh, April 2026

Directed and developed by Caroline Jay Ranger. Music & lyrics by Stephen McGuinness & Irvine Welsh

Memories lie. People do too.

Acclaimed actor, author and podcaster Giovanna Fletcher stars in the world-stage premiere of Before I Go To Sleep. Based on the international best-selling novel that became a hit film starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth.

Christine appears to have an idyllic life – with one terrible exception. Every night, when she goes to sleep, she loses her memory. Every morning, she wakes up remembering nothing from the last 20 years of her life – not even the loving husband lying next to her. As she desperately tries to piece her life back together, hidden and terrifying truths begin to emerge – forcing her to question everything and everyone around her.

From the team behind the hugely successful stage adaptation of The Girl on the Train, this tense, fast-paced psychological thriller explores the fragile vulnerability of memory, identity and trust – with twists and turns that will keep you gripped until its shocking climax. Ages 15+
