Ayckbourn’s groundbreaking play is a gripping exploration of identity, family, and mental escape
Two-time Olivier Award winner Sheridan Smith makes a triumphant return to the West End in Alan Ayckbourn’s darkly comic psychological drama WOMAN IN MIND
Directed by Michael Longhurst (Constellations, Caroline or Change, and former Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse) this spellbinding revival explores one woman’s fractured reality with heart and humour. When Susan sustains a bump to the head, her world splits in two—one mundane, one imagined—and the lines begin to blur.

features Tony and Grammy Award-winning music and lyrics by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, a hilarious book by Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein and is directed by the award-winning Nikolai Foster (Grease and The Wizard of Oz). This joyous, brand-new production stars Strictly Come Dancing’s Johannes Radebe and runs at the spectacular London Coliseum from March 2026 for a strictly limited season only.
When Charlie Price inherits his family’s failing shoe factory, saving the company - and his love life - feels like an impossibly tall order. Until, that is, he meets Lola, the sparkling, larger-than-life drag queen with the unlikeliest of answers. Can they work together to reboot the business and save the day? Perhaps they just need to help each other - and everyone around them - to stand a little taller…
We recently interviewed Johannes Radebe. Read on to see what he had to say…
What first excited you about joining KINKY BOOTS?
This has been a dream I’ve carried for many years. I first encountered the story through the film, and it deeply connected with my own search for belonging as a boy growing up in a township. I’ve always been drawn to places where I feel I fit in, or to stories that reflect something of my own experience. How do you feel about bringing the show to London’s West End next year?
Believe me when I say, this is a dream come true. My journey with KINKY BOOTS has been six years in the making, and from the very beginning, Lola was the only role I ever dreamed of playing. Harvey Fierstein and Cyndi Lauper have created a show that celebrates acceptance and love, and the response to our production across the UK has been overwhelming, beautiful, and truly life changing. The theatre community has welcomed me with open arms, and I am having the time of my life. To now bring this show to the world-famous London Coliseum is the greatest honour and responsibility. I’ll
be following in the footsteps of entertainment legends who have graced that iconic stage… only I’ll be doing it in my own sequinned pair of red leather KINKY BOOTS. I cannot wait!
Were there any particular challenges in taking on this role that surprised you?
As a kid I was often told not to sing, my family and friends would tease me, saying I sounded like a sheep! But when I found out this show might happen, I decided to start taking lessons, and it’s turned into such a wonderful journey. Do you have a favourite scene or number to perform, and why?
I love “Not My Fathers Son”. Every night I feel a deep connection to this song. It’s the first time in the show that Lola appears as Simon. He’s insecure, scarred, like many of us – me included – but when he’s Lola he’s bold, confident, and powerful, and I can relate to that so much, coupled with that, and the fact that it’s an incredible song written by Cyndi Lauper!
The costumes and shoes are iconic in KINKY BOOTS — what’s it like to perform in them?
I mean! I’d worn heels in my house without anybody witnessing it for many years until Strictly gave me the platform to be fabulous and kinky in front of the world!!
You’re known for Strictly Come Dancing as well—how does performing in a musical compare to your work on Strictly?
It’s a whole different ball game. Working on Strictly is a joy, but from the moment it starts you are in a bubble with your partner in this whirlwind and it can be quite isolating. Being in musical though, I feel like we’re a bunch of people put together to work towards a particular goal and is so collaborative. Its sheer love, joy and support.
What do you hope audiences walk away with after seeing KINKY BOOTS?
We want our audiences to walk away with a universal message: to make space for one another, to embrace ourselves fully, and to strive toward creating a better world. I believe KINKY BOOTS has the power to leave the world a brighter, kinder place.
The musical, inspired by the animated film, based on the ancient myth.
It’s what classical civilisation would have wanted.
Ancient Greece. A time of gods, mortals… and Hercules, who isn’t quite either. But if he’s not a god, how can he possibly save the world from Hades? It’s one thing
flexing those pecs, but going from zero to hero requires a different kind of strength.

From Oscar Award-winning screenwriter Eric Roth (Forrest Gump, Dune) and Olivier Award-winning Director Thea Sharrock (Equus - West End/Broadway, After the Dance) comes the world premiere of the play, HIGH NOON
This gripping new adaptation is Roth’s debut work for the stage - based on the iconic, four-time Oscar-winning 1952 film originally produced by Stanley Kramer, directed by Fred Zinnemann, with screenplay by Carl Foreman - hailed as one of the greatest westerns ever made. This isn’t just a play. It’s a wake-up call. Told in real time, this edge-ofyour-seat thriller stars Tony and Emmy Award-winner Billy Crudup (The Morning Show, The Coast of Utopia) and Olivier Awardwinner Denise Gough (Andor, People, Places & Things) with design by Tony and Olivier Awardwinner Tim Hatley (Back to the Future: The Musical, The Life of Pi), lighting by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Neil Austin (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Born With Teeth) and music composed and produced by Chris Egan
Once a searing allegory of Hollywood’s blacklist, HIGH NOON now explodes onto the stage in an
unmissable new version that speaks urgently to the world today.
Set in the American West of the 1800s, HIGH NOON rides on themes as relevant now as they were then. Courage vs. Cowardice. Justice vs. Peace. Duty vs. Desire. And at its heart, is the bond between Will Kane and Amy Fowler – a love tested by impossible choices as the clock ticks down to the return of deadly outlaw Frank Miller on the high noon train.
Tick: Begin a new life together?
Tock: Or take a stand for the greater good?
As time runs out, one truth remains: if you don’t stand up for what’s worth saving, you risk losing it all.
THE CLOCK IS TICKING.

Charles Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL, a ghost story adapted by Mark Gatiss
This Christmas, the haunting returns. Following a critically acclaimed 2023 run, Mark Gatiss’ spine-chilling retelling of Dickens’ winter ghost story once again takes over Alexandra Palace Theatre in 2025. Neil Morrissey, beloved for Men Behaving Badly and Waterloo Road, will appear as Jacob
Marley, and Matthew Cottle (Bridgerton and The Windsors), reprises his role as Scrooge.
Frozen in time with its beautifully preserved features, the atmospheric Alexandra Palace Theatre is the perfect setting for Dickens’ most enduring Christmas tale. With eerie Victorian special effects and spine-tingling storytelling, prepare to be frightened and delighted in equal measure as you enter the supernatural world of A CHRISTMAS CAROL
It’s Christmas Eve, and the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge receives a chilling visit from the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley. Bound in chains for a lifetime of greed, Marley warns Scrooge it isn’t too late to change his fate, but only if he survives three more ghostly encounters…

We recently interviewed Nicola Roberts who stars as Persephone in HADESTOWN. Read on to see what she had to say…
What first drew you to HADESTOWN, and how did the opportunity to join the UK cast come about?
The team asked me to meet them for the role of Persephone. I’ve been approached for other musicals, but nothing before HADESTOWN felt right. The show has such acclaim it was an honour to be asked.
Had you seen the show before joining? If so, what struck you most as an audience member?
I came to see the show before I met with the casting team, to get a feel for it myself. I was so impressed. The cast and show are world class. I could envision myself as Persephone and it all happened quite quickly from there.
Which character are you portraying, and how do you personally connect with them?
I play Persephone. She’s the goddess of spring. She loves love and wants the world to exist in harmony. She may be a powerful goddess, married to the king of the underworld, but her heart is in the right place. She stands up for what is right and wants to bring joy. That all feels like me.
What’s been the most challenging part of stepping into this role?
I’ve never done theatre before, so I’m having to learn quick. I would say I am a singer and like to act naturalistically, so to bring stage acting together with singing and dancing is a brand-
new skill. To do the 3 things well with equal measure is challenging.
Do you have a favourite song or moment in the show that you’re especially excited to perform?
I love the revolve. We use it in Chant 2. It’s so fun to power walk round on it once you find your balance. I also love “How Long” that I sing with Chris (Hades). There are some lovely notes in there. As someone best known for your music career, how does performing in a theatre production compare to being on stage as a solo artist or with Girls Aloud?
It’s hugely different. The sound aspect is the most challenging. I’m used to the luxury of being able to hear exactly what I’m singing and be supported massively via my in-ear monitors. To not be able to hear your voice with such clarity is very different for me and something I have to accept. The sound team have been amazing in doing what they can to support, but we’re still limited in a theatre set up. It just means I have to rely on myself to be consistent and not be consistent because I can hear myself. The audiences are also very different. Much more reserved.
Have you discovered new aspects of your voice or stagecraft through this process?
A lot of the songs are in my lower register so I’m getting to sing much lower than usual, but with that I’m having to learn to push harder because it’s much easier for me to create power and volume the higher up the scale.
The cast of HADESTOWN works very closely together. How have you found building that sense of community on stage?
I’ve absolutely loved it. The whole cast and company are truly so amazing. They’ve welcomed me with open arms and are always ready to over support if I need it. I’ve honestly been so lucky to join such a wonderful group of people.

The first major London revival of Mel Brooks’ THE PRODUCERS has exploded onto the West End stage

Based on the classic cult film, the original Broadway production won a record twelve Tony Awards. Teeming with Mel Brooks’ signature humour, THE PRODUCERS takes no prisoners as it proudly proclaims itself an “equal opportunity offender!”.
Down-on-his-luck Broadway producer Max Bialystock schemes with timid accountant Leo Bloom to create the biggest flop in theatre history - only to have it backfire spectacularly, and with thunderous applause.
Reimagined by Tony Award-winning director Patrick Marber and with triumphant performances from Andy Nyman, Marc Antolin, Trevor Ashley, Raj Ghatak, Harry Morrison and Joanna Woodward,

July 10th, 1981, Missouri. Smalltown bully, Ken Rex McElroy rules Skidmore with an iron fist. His ten year reign of terror has involved theft, intimidation, assault, abduction and attempted murder but, thanks to his slippery defence attorney and the rusty cogs of the American justice system, Ken has never spent a night behind bars. But, when Ken shoots pillar of the community, greengrocer Bo Bowenkamp and leaves him for dead, the good folk of Skidmore decide that enough is enough. If the courts won’t bring Ken to heel, they will.
Direct from an acclaimed run at Sheffield Theatres, receiving 5 Star Reviews from The Daily Telegraph and WhatsOnStage, KENREX is the unbelievable true story of a community taking back control — part True Crime, part Western, with a foot-stomping live Americana soundtrack.
