Milton Jones Ha!Milton

This is not a musical. Milton Jones is tone-deaf and has no sense of rhythm, but at least he doesn’t make a song and dance about it.

He has more important things to discuss. Like giraffes… and there’s a bit about tomatoes.

You might know him from Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo or Radio 4. Or that time he stood for the Scottish National Party, fought a hard campaign, but in the end had to respect the wishes of the people of Cardiff.

A whole new show of daftness. You know it makes sense.

*contains jokes from the start.

DISCOVER THE MAGIC BEHIND THE CURTAIN

Enjoy The Wonderful Wizard of Oz at Leas Cliff Hall this Christmas

As December approaches, excitement is building for the much-loved tradition of pantomime in Folkestone.

This year’s production, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, promises not only to captivate audiences with its timeless tale but will showcase incredible talent from within our local community.

At the heart of the production is renowned local choreographer Sarah Dean, whose dedication and creative vision bring the dance sequences to life in this sparkling production. Sarah, along with her students from the esteemed DAPA dance school, will grace the stage, adding a local flair that resonates deeply with our community.

Joining them are the stars of the show: Emily Day as the spirited Dorothy, Lawrence Stubbings as the courageous Lion, Michael Cummings as the witty Scarecrow, David Rumelle as the enchanting Glinda, and Tom Brown, a familiar local face playing the wise Wizard of Oz himself. Their performances promise to transport audiences to the magical land of Oz, where dreams come true and adventures abound. In conversation, Lawrence Stubbings summed up the excitement when he said, ‘Everyone should come and see this

show because it’s going to be magical, just a joyous celebration.’

A cast member who is new to Folkestone is David McClelland who is playing the Tin Man, he told us, ‘Although this is my first time in Folkestone, I have been enchanted by the place ever since I came here. I’m really looking forward to spending December here.’

With a wonderful cast and a spectacular story that has left generations spellbound, this Christmas could be amongst your best ever as you immerse yourself in the wonder of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz at Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall. It’s a magical theatrical experience not to be missed, filled with laughter, music and the joyous spirit of community talent.
