Where It Happens

April 2024 Hamilton – Be in the Room
From

Welcome to the Bristol Hippodrome

Wow, 2024 is proving to be a busy year! We started with the smash hit musical Wicked, and we’re soon into Hamilton, Disney’s Aladdin, Bristol favourite Mary Poppins, and then we’ll be bringing things to a close with our Christmas pantomime Goldilocks and the Three Bears, phew!

We are delighted to say Greatest Hits Radio will once again be our local partner for the pantomime. During last year’s record breaking pantomime, due to your generosity, over £3000 was raised for their chosen charity Cash4Kids.

There’s also plenty more for all ages. From a new theatrical adaptation of the award-winning television series Bluey’s Big Play, to our first-ever visit of Peaky Blinders The Redemption of Thomas Shelby by Rambert Dance

Remember when you book your ticket you can add a range of extras, including an Ambassador Lounge package (in our newly refurbished lounge) plus various refreshments. You can also order from your seat to have everything delivered with our Order At Seat app.

We’re very pleased to share Bristol First Bus’s support of the Matinee Mingle, which helps tackle loneliness for over 60s. Our Creative Learning department has also been working tirelessly to bring new initiatives and activities such as the incredibly popular Bristol Baby Book Club

I look forward to welcoming you to our lovely Bristol Hippodrome soon.

Come From Away

7,000 Stranded Passengers. One Small Town.

A Remarkable True Story.

Winner of four Olivier Awards including Best New Musical in London and the Tony® Award for Best Direction of a Musical on Broadway, this smash hit show shares the incredible real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives with open hearts.

Experience this joyous story and soaring music as spirited locals and global passengers come together to forge friendships that will stay with them forever. The first female American Airlines captain, the quick-thinking town mayor, the mother of a New York firefighter and the eager local news reporter are among the many real characters caught at the start of the moment that changed the course of history and whose stories became a true celebration of hope, humanity and unity.

Tony® Award-winning director Christopher Ashley alongside Olivier Award-winning writers Irene Sankoff and David Hein bring this uplifting true story to the stage in a life-affirming production that has audiences on their feet night after night.

Babes in arms (children under 18 months unless otherwise stated at the time of booking and on the ticket) will only be admitted to performances that are specifically aimed for them (pantomimes and shows permitting under 3s only). Where babes in arms are permitted they shall be admitted free of charge. If any other age restrictions apply for a particular performance this will be stated on the relevant production page of our website. Children (ages 18 months to 15 years inclusive) shall require their own ticket which shall be at full ticket price if no child concessions are available at the time of booking. Children (ages 15 years and under) must be supervised at all times. Supervision of children shall be by not less than 1 adult (aged 18 years or over) per 10 children and the supervising adult must sit next to the child/ren. The Management reserves the right to ask parents / supervisors to remove children if, in the opinion of the Management, they are causing a disturbance. Please note that some productions can be loud, if a member of your party is sensitive to this, we would recommend bringing their preferred noise protection.
