From April 2025

The six-time Tony® Award-winning Dear Evan Hansen returns to Birmingham!

Welcome to THE ALEXANDRA

2025 is off to an excellent start and we can’t wait to spring into a new season of shows.

In true theatre fashion, in January we held our staff ‘Christmas’ party. Our team (usually working behind-thescenes) were invited to take their place on-stage for an Awards Gala and karaoke. It was a wonderful evening to celebrate our dedicated staff who all play their part in making The Alex what it is today – so here’s a big shout out and thank you, to them.

We loved welcoming the brand new NOW That’s What I Call A Musical in March, set in none other than Birmingham – that’s right, bab! And looking ahead we celebrate the return of many Brum favourites including Chicago, Dear Evan Hansen and Ghost Stories.

We’re thrilled to be hosting the West Midlands amateur premiere of Les Misérables ‘Let The People Sing’ in June. BMOS Musical Theatre Company return to our venue, in collaboration with other local theatre groups, to bring this iconic show to life.

We’re also gearing up for our 20th Stage Experience production as aspiring performers and budding theatre technicians will take to our stage to present West Side Story in August.

Thank you, as always, for supporting us. We hope to welcome you to our theatre very soon.
