Letter From The Editor Welcome back readers. This is our final issue-our graduation issue. Once again students found, wrote and edited their own writings/stories with some or no help from me. Some students continued their line of writing from the previous issue, others picked new topics for this magazine. Once again, they wrote in their own style. Again, I decided not to interfere with my students’ work, unless necessary. Forgive us we you see any grammatical, syntactical or orthographical errors. I want to thank my students for participating and spending some of their free time in a creative way! I wish them the best of luck in whatever they choose to do! Hope you enjoy reading the Spring/Summer Graduation Issue! Have a great Summer!!!

Minced meat and white sauce cannelloni By Joanna Tzitzi C’5 Ingredients:
24 cannelloni tubes 2 tea cups of plain tomato sauce
For the filling 1kg beef minced meat, thinly ground 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped 1 red onion, finely chopped 1 tea cup of grated tomato half a cinnamon stick 1 bay leaf 1 teaspoon sugar 1/4 tea cup of brandy salt freshly ground pepper 1 tea cup of grated Parmesan cheese 2 beaten eggs For the white sauce 1litre warm milk 100g butter 100g flour a pinch of grated nutmeg salt
Instructions: Brown the minced meat in the olive oil for 7-8 minutes until it changes colour. Add the garlic, onion and herbs and cook for a couple of minutes. Pour the brandy in, add the tomatoes, sugar and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes until all the liquids are completely reduced. Remove from heat and let the
minced meat sauce cool off. Then add the beaten eggs and Parmesan cheese and give everything a good toss. In the meantime prepare the white sauce. In a casserole-type pan melt the butter and brown the flour for 1 minute. Remove from heat, add half of the milk whisking and put the pan back on the stove. Pour the rest of the milk in, add the nutmeg and season with salt. Whisk constantly until the sauce thickens. Drop 2 tablespoons of the white sauce in a baking tray. Use a spoon to fill the cannelloni tubes and lay them over the sauce. When finished pour the grated tomato and the rest of the white sauce over. Bake at 180ยบC for 25 minutes covered with tinfoil. Towards the end of cooking time remove the tinfoil and bake until golden and bubbling. makes 6 Preparation Time 30 minutes Baking time 25 minutes

Cake and ice cream-based filling OREO By Joanna Tzitzi C’5
Ingredients:
2 packs of biscuits stuffed 4 tablespoons melted butter 1½ kg vanilla ice cream 1 pack of biscuits with chocolate filling 1/2 cup. roasted hazelnut or almond 600 g. whipped stuffed a few for garnish melted chocolate or chocolate sauce for garnish Instructions:
Let the ice cream out of the refrigerator for a while to soften. crush biscuits powder. Add the melted butter. Mix and lay a short form ring 20 to 22 m. Ice in the freezer. Break the biscuits filled with chocolate chunks. Pour in ice cream.Add the hazelnuts. Mix well. Empty the ice in the frozen layer on base. Straightens the surface. Freeze the ice cream cake untiltight.For 3-4 hours. Take out of the form of ring. Put the ice cream cake on a platter.Brush entire surface with whipped cream. Garnish with whole cookies. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Makes: 8 Preparation time: 10 minutes Freezing time: 4 minutes 7
Strawberry Cheesecake By Stella Barbari C’3
Ingredients
250g digestive biscuits
100g butter, melted
1 vanilla pod
600g soft cheese
100g icing sugar
284ml pot double cream
For the topping
400g punnet strawberries, halved and stoned
25g icing sugar
Method
EQUIPMENT: 23cm loose-bottomed tin, baking parchment, plastic food bag, rolling pin, large bowl, dessert spoon, chopping board, kitchen knife, electric mixer, spatula, serving plate, blender or food processor, sieve
Make the base: Butter and line a 23cm loose-bottomed tin with baking parchment. Put 250g digestive biscuits in a plastic food bag and crush to crumbs using a rolling pin. Transfer the crumbs to a bowl, then pour over100g melted butter. Mix thoroughly until the crumbs are completely coated. Tip them into the prepared tin and press firmly down into the base to create an even layer. Chill in the fridge for 1 hr to set firmly.
Remove the vanilla seeds from 1 pod: Slice the vanilla pod in half lengthways, leaving the tip intact, so that the two halves are still joined. Holding onto the tip of the pod, scrape out the seeds using the back of a kitchen knife.
Make the filling: Place 600g soft cheese, 100g icing sugar and the vanilla seeds in a bowl, then beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Tip in 284ml pot double cream and continue beating until the mixture is completely combined. Now spoon the cream mixture onto the biscuit base, working from
the edges inwards and making sure that there are no air bubbles. Smooth the top of the cheesecake down with the back of a dessert spoon or spatula. Leave to set in the fridge overnight.
Un-moulding and topping: Bring the cheesecake to room temperature, about 30 mins before serving. To un-mould, place the base on top of a can, then gradually pull the sides of the tin down. Slip the cake onto a serving plate, removing the lining paper and base. PurĂŠe half the 400g punnet strawberriesin a blender or food processor with 25g icing sugar and 1 tsp water, then sieve. Pile the remaining strawberries onto the cake and then pour over purĂŠe.

Ingredients Makes: 30 truffles 5 tablespoons double cream 100g unsalted butter, cubed 300g dark chocolate, at least 70% cacao, chopped 5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Method Prep:30min › Cook:10min › Extra time:2hr chilling › Ready in:2hr40min Gently heat the cream in a saucepan until it comes to a simmer. Add the butter and stir. Once butter is melted, add the chopped chocolate. Stir until melted. Remove from heat and pour the mixture into a shallow dish. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours, until firm. Roll the mixture into 2 to 3cm balls. For best results, use a melon baller, though a small teaspoon can also be used. Roll each ball in the cocoa powder.
Tip You can store these truffles in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Ideas Instead of rolling the truffles in cocoa powder, you can roll them in finely chopped nuts, desiccated coconut, decorative sugar strands or hundreds and thousands.

Ingredients Original recipe makes 12 scones (Change Servings)
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/3 cup white sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled and cubed 1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips 3 tablespoons orange juice
Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. With a pastry blender or a large fork, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the chocolate chips. Mix in the orange juice to form a dough. Turn out the dough on a floured surface. Pat or roll into a 9 inch circle about 1/2 inch thick. With a 2 1/2 inch
fluted biscuit cutter, cut out 12 scones, pushing the dough scraps together for the last few, if necessary. Transfer the scones to the baking sheet.  Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 12 minutes. Move to wire racks to cool.

Life is about creating your life. The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. The meaning of life is to give life a meaning. We are visitors on this planet. We are here for ninety or one hundred years at the very most. During that period, we must try to do something good, something useful, with our lives, if you contribute to other people’s happiness, you will find the true goal, the true meaning of life.

Sergio Ramos By Konstantinos Akalestos C’1 Sergio Ramos García (born 30 March 1986) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Real Madrid and Spain national football team. Mainly a central defender, he can also play as a right back. Ramos is a complete and tenacious defender, who is regarded as one of the best defenders in the world. He is a strong player who excels in the air, making him a goal threat on set-pieces, and he is also a competent, aggressive tackler. He is gifted with pace, good technical ability, as well as good distribution and crossing ability. He has been criticised, however, for his lack of discipline at times, and he holds the record for the most red cards obtained by a Real Madrid player. Due to his leadership, his athletic and technical prowess, his ability to excel both offensively and defensively, as well as his tactical versatility, which allows him to be deployed as a centre back and as a full back, manager Carlo Ancelotti has compared him to legendary defender Paolo Maldini. After emerging through Sevilla's youth system, Ramos went on to be a mainstay for Real Madrid. He acted as vice-captain for the latter, also being one of La Liga's top scorers from a defensive position.[6] Internationally Ramos competed with the Spanish national team in three World Cups and two European Championships, winning the former tournament in 2010 and the latter in 2008 and 2012. He made his first appearance at the age of 18 and, in 2013, he became the youngest player to ever reach 100 caps.

Sevilla] Born in Camas, Seville, Andalusia, Ramos began his career at local side Sevilla FC, emerging through the club's youth system alongside Jesús Navas and Antonio Puerta. He made his first-team – and La Liga – debut on
1st February 2004, coming on as a second half substitute in a 0–1 away loss against Deportivo de La Coruña. In the 2004–05 season, Ramos appeared in 41 games as Sevilla finished sixth and qualified to the UEFA Cup, scoring in home fixtures against Real Sociedad (2–1) and Real Madrid (2–2).
Real Madrid 2005–2008 In the summer of 2005, 19-year-old Ramos was purchased by Real Madrid for €27 million, a record for a Spanish teenager. He was the only Spanish player brought in during Florentino Pérez's first stint as Real's president.
At the club, Ramos was assigned the number 4 shirt, previously worn by Fernando Hierro. On 6 December 2005 he netted his first goal for the Merengues, in a 2–3 UEFA Champions League group stage loss at Olympiacos FC.
During his first seasons, Ramos played as centre back, being also used as an emergency defensive midfielder on occasion. However, with the arrival of Christoph Metzelder and Pepe in the 2007–08 season, he was again relocated to right back. In his first four seasons at Real Madrid, Ramos displayed a goalscoring instinct unusual to many defenders, netting more than 20 goals overall. On 4 May 2008, he assisted Gonzalo Higuaín in the 89th minute against CA Osasuna in an eventual 2–1 away win, the match that sealed the club's 31st league championship. On the final day of the season, he scored twice in a 5–2 home win against already relegated Levante UD: one through a header, and another an individual effort; these goals taking his league tally for the 2007–2008 season to five.
Ramos scored a vital goal in the Spanish Supercup contest against Valencia CF, making it 2–1 in an eventual 4–2 and 6–5 aggregate win despite the fact Real Madrid playing with only nine men for a long period of time. Although he experienced a slight dip in form, he returned to his best and on 11 January 2009, netted on an acrobatic volley in a 3–0 triumph at RCD Mallorca;
continuing his scoring run in the following week in a 3–1 home win against Osasuna. Ramos was named in both FIFA and UEFA's 2008 Team of the Year, adding the FIFA Pro Team of the Year 2007–08 accolade. He also finished 21st in the European Player of the Year nomination for 2008.
2009–10 season At the start of the 2009–10 season, Ramos was appointed as one of Real Madrid's four captains. Because Pepe had suffered a serious knee injury during this campaign, Ramos was often deployed as central defender. Ramos scored four goals in 33 league matches; and, on 21 February 2010 he played his 200th official match for the capital team against Villarreal CF (150 in the first division). Despite these personal highlights for Sergio Ramos, this season was a disappointing one for his side, with Los Blancos finishing the campaign without picking up any silverware. 2010–11 season In Real Madrid's 0–5 loss at FC Barcelona on 29 November 2010, Ramos was sent off after kicking Lionel Messi from behind, then pushing Carles Puyol in the ensuing melée. After this ejection, he equalled Fernando Hierro's previous record for red cards at the club, despite having played in 264 fewer games.

Oklahoma City Thunder (2009–2012) Harden with the Oklahoma City Thunder Harden was drafted 3rd overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. This made him the first player to be drafted by the franchise as the Oklahoma City Thunder. The franchise last entered the 2008 NBA Draft as the Seattle SuperSonics. In his first NBA season Harden ended the 2011–12 season averaging 16.8 points per game off the bench which led all NBA reserves.[1] He was then named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year, becoming the second youngest player ever to win the award. He was one of the most efficient scorers in the league, finishing second in both true shooting percentage and effective field goal percentage, posting a .660 TS% and .582 FG%. Harden helped the Thunder reach the 2012 NBA Finals where they lost to the Miami Heat. During the free agency period, Oklahoma City attempted to sign Harden to a four-year contract extension worth between $52 and $55 million.

Following the first week of the season, Harden was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the first time. On December 27, 2012, Harden scored 30 points, including 17 in the 4th quarter and 15 of the final 17 points for the Rockets, to lead a comeback victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Harden was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the second time for games played between December 30 and January 6 after averaging 29.3 points, 5.5 assists, and leading the Rockets to a perfect 4–0 week.]On January 10, 2013, during a loss to the New Orleans Hornets, Harden scored 25 points for the 14th consecutive game, breaking the Rockets' franchise record previously held by Hall of Famer Moses Malone. Harden was subsequently selected to his first All-Star game in 2013 as a reserve for the Western Conference, where he teamed up with former teammates Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. On February 2, 2013, Harden recorded his first career triple-double with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in a win over the Charlotte Bobcats. On February 20, 2013, Harden scored a career-high 46 points in Houston's 122–119 win over his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder. With the Rockets' signing of center Dwight Howard in the offseason, Harden was able to team-up with another All-Star to bring the Rockets back into contention. After earning his second All-Star selection as a reserve for the Western Conference in the 2014 NBA AllStar Game held on February 16, Harden went on to score a season-high 43 points on 11of-20 shooting in a 129–103 win over the Sacramento Kings on February 25. The Rockets finished the 2013–14 season with a 54–28 record, earning the 4th seed in the
2014–15 season On December 13, 2014, Harden recorded his third career triple-double with 24 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds in the 108–96 win over the Denver Nuggets. Nine days later, he scored a season-high 44 points in a 110–95 win over the Portland Trail Blazers as he continued to stake his claim as the early contender for the 2014–15 MVP award leading into Christmas On December 31, he recorded a career-high 8 made three-pointers as he scored 36 points to help lead the Rockets to a 102–83 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.

American rapper, record producer and actor Eminem was born Marshall Bruce Mathers III on October 17, 1972, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He never knew his father, Marshall Mathers Jr., who abandoned the family when Eminem was still an infant and rebuffed all of his son's many attempts to contact him during his childhood. As a result, Eminem was raised by his mother, Deborah Mathers. She never managed to hold down a job for more than several months at a time, so they moved frequently between Missouri and Detroit, Michigan, spending large chunks of time in public housing projects. He would change schools two or three times a year. 23
Robin Williams (McLaurin) By Efstratia Tsoukari C’5 Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) was an American actor and comedian. Starting as a stand-up comedian in San Francisco and Los Angeles in the mid-1970s, he is credited with leading San Francisco's comedy renaissance. After rising to fame as Mork in the sitcom Mork & Mindy (1978–82), Williams went on to establish a career in both stand-up comedy and feature film acting. He was known for his improvisational skills. After his film debut in the musical comedy Popeye (1980), he starred or costarred in widely acclaimed films, including the comedy-drama The World According to Garp (1982), the war comedy Good Morning, Vietnam(1987), the dramas Dead Poets Society (1989) and Awakenings (1990), the comedydrama The Fisher King(1991), a voice role in the Disney animated musical fantasy Aladdin (1992), the drama Good Will Hunting(1997), and the psychological thriller One Hour Photo (2002), as well as financial successes such as the fantasy adventure film Hook (1991), the comedy Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), the fantasy adventure Jumanji(1995), the comedy The Birdcage (1996), and the fantasy adventure-comedy Night at the Museum (2006). Williams won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Dr. Sean Maguire in Good Will Hunting. The natural environment encompasses all living and non-living occuring naturally on Earth or some region there of. It is an environment that encompasses the interaction of all living species. Climate, weather, and natural resources that affect human survival and economic activity.
The concept of the natural environment can be distinguished by components: Complete ecological units that function as natural systems without massive civilized human intervention, including all vegetation, microorganisms, soil, rocks, atmosphere, and natural phenomena that occur within their boundaries Universal natural resources and physical phenomena that lack clear-cut boundaries, such as air, water, and climate as well as energy, radiation, electric charge, and magnetism, not originating from civilized human activity

In contrast to the natural environment is the built environment. In such areas where man has fundamentally transformed landscapes such as urban settings and agricultural land conversion, the natural environment is greatly modified and diminished, with a much more simplified human environment largely replacing it. Even events which seem less extreme such as hydroelectric dam construction, or solar array construction in the desert, the natural environment is substantially altered. It is difficult to find absolutely natural environments, and it is common that the naturalness varies in a continuum, from ideally 100% natural in one extreme to 0% natural in the other. More precisely, we can consider the different aspects and components of an environment, and see that their degree of naturalness is not uniform. If, for instance, we take an agricultural field, and consider the mineralogic composition and the structure of its soil, we will find that whereas the first is quite similar to that of an undisturbed forest soil, the structure is quite different. Natural environment is often used as a synonym for habitat. For instance, when we say that the natural environment of giraffes is the savanna.

Confessions of a Shopacholic
Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) is a shopping addict who lives with her best friend Suze (Krysten Ritter). She works as a journalist for a gardening magazine but dreams of joining the fashion magazine Alette. On the way to an interview with Alette, she buys a green scarf. Her credit card is declined, so Rebecca goes to a hot dog stand and offers to buy all the hot dogs with a check, if the seller gives her back change in cash, saying the scarf
is to be a gift for her sick aunt. The hot dog vendor refuses but a man offers her $20. When Rebecca arrives at the interview, she's told that the position has been filled. However, the receptionist tells her there is an open position with the magazine Successful Savings, explaining that getting a job at Successful Savings could eventually lead to a position at Alette magazine. Rebecca interviews with Luke Brandon (Hugh Dancy), the editor of Successful Savings and the man who just gave her the $20. She hides her scarf outside his office, but Luke's assistant comes into the office and gives it back to her. Rebecca knows the game is up and leaves. That evening, drunk, she and Suze write letters to Alette and Successful Savings, but she mails each to the wrong magazine. Luke likes the letter she meant to send to Alette and hires her. Rather than completing a work assignment for a new column, Rebecca goes to a clothing sale. While inspecting a cashmere coat she has just purchased, she realizes it is not 100% cashmere and she has been duped. This gives her an idea for the column, which she writes under the name "The Girl in the Green Scarf" and is an instant success.

DOLPHINS By Paraskevi Fokianou C’5
Dolphins are marine mammals that belong to the same family as whales. There are about 17 dolphins genera and 40 species. The description relates mainly to "genuine dolphins" subfamily Delphinidae, but extends to other species such as those of the family Platanistidon and Stenidon. The adult size varies from 1.2 meters to 40 kg, as the dolphin kind Maui's Dolphin, up to 9.5 meters and 10 tons, as the orca. Found in almost all the seas of the world, and some large rivers such as the Amazon and the Yangtze River in China. They are carnivores and feed mainly on fish and squid. At night the females sleep on the water surface, while the males emerge every half hour to breathe. The family Delphinidae is the largest of Cetaceans and evolutionary perspective on news. Dolphins appeared before about ten million years ago, during the Miocene. Dolphins are among the most intelligent animals and have become popular among people for centuries for their playful behavior and their friendly appearance.

It was Sunday morning when we caught the ferryboat to Ikaria. It was so hot when we arrived to the port of Evdilos, that we almost melted like an ice cream! We stayed in my brother’s house, not very far from the port. The window view was superb! From my balcony window, I had a view of the sea and a lot of trees. On Monday, we went to the beach Seychelles! To get there, you have to climb down a mountain and jump on to some rocks! It’s difficult, but once you get there, you can admire green waters and pebbles. It was amazing!
