About the project The project was about making souvenirs for Vadodara city.

I was given a small brief about the project with a few ideas to get started with.

The main objective about this project was to promote Vadodara in the field of tourism.

I started making a research booklet about what souvenirs are and why do people buy them.

After understanding the base of the project, I concentrated on Vadodara and its different resources and monuments that are really famous.

I interviewed people about what are the different things they remember about Vadodara and what do they like the most about the city.

I clicked photographs of those famous monuments to illustrate them in a very funky way and apply those illustrations on different things like bags, key chains, iphone cases, sweat shirts, notebooks, flip flops, watches, etc.

About the project The project was about designing a magazine for a business man’s 50th birthday. The client wanted it to be like a GQ fashion magazine.

After getting a brief about the project, the creative department and the copy-writing department sat together to brainstorm about how to design the magazine and what all will the magazine contain.

I came up with the idea of advertisements, keeping in mind the client’s attributes. The client was very sophisticated, rich, fashionable and a family man.

According to those attributes, I came up with the ideas of advertising about watches, flights, clothing, expensive pen.

These were some of the ideas that I presented after understanding the brief given to me.

4 out of 6 ideas were selected in the end after the final presentation.

ocumentary Film and Transcripts

About the project The project was about making a documentary film on the voting awareness that had happened in Vadodara, before The Indian General Elections, 2014, The project was given to the interns and we divided ourselves into 2 teams to get the work done on time and before the elections happened. We wanted to capture the excitement and the buzz that was in the city before the elections.

We went around the city and clicked pictures of hoardings and billboards that were put up about the elections by different corporate houses and hotels.

We met people from different walks of life who had taken part in the voting awareness campaigns and recorded their thoughts about how many people would turn up for voting in the elections and what did they think about the discounts and the other offers being given to the public who had would go and vote.

After gathering all the videos, We started the transcripts to make a proper script for the film, before editing it.

We met radio jockeys, newspaper editors, hotel and restaurant owners, school principals, students below 18, business men, college students, labourers and more.

We basically gathered all the infomation about the voting awarness and then did the transcripts accordingly to make a script for the film.

ustainability Report Photography

About the project The project was about clicking photographs of the sustainability report about water.

It was a report for a company called Xylem which manufactured water pipes.

I was told to click photographs of the report to capture the different illustrations, photographs, infographics used in the report. I used Nikon D5100 with 50 mm lens.

The photographs were to be clicked for Cognito, India’s website to showcase the report.

This was my last project in the office.

About the project I was told to doodle in my free time. Just to get my thoughts out on the paper. I enjoyed doodling a lot.

I also sent this to my collegeus as a good bye picture on the last day of my internship.

I learned a lot in Cognito, India and I’ll cherish every memory and experience I got from the creative Cogni-TOADS. Things, I’ll always remember: - Deadlines are taken very seriously.

- Pantry room is meant for gossiping and sleeping.

- Everything needs to be told through mails.

- Keep checking your mail every 30 minutes.

- No, you’re not allowed to use facebook in the office.

- Working for 9 hours everyday makes you feel like a zombie.

Akanksha Negi worked with me during her internship this summer.

As a designer she is curious, enthusiastic, and ready to take on challenges.

Some of her works displayed a keen sense of observation, with the right amount of humour.

She also is a good team player, and participated actively in brainstorming sessions.

I wish her all the best for her future in design.
