Mobilization Ideas / Activities
Adopt a precinct & commit to educating and mobilizing voters in that area. Collaborate with community organizations such as When We All Vote, Black Voters Matter, League of Women Voters, the NAACP, and those in the Divine 9. Lead an “AKA VIP (Voter Information Project) Moment” each Sunday at your church and share relevant information. Host / Participate in a voter registeration drive.
Promote voting among college students.
Hand out flyers.
Host a “Ballots and Brunch” event to walk through the ballot with the voters in your assigned precinct.
Attend or host voter information forums.
Utilize the AKA Voter Toolkit (Click HERE to access)
All creative ideas are on the table! The goal is to get the correct information out to as many people as possible. Also, do not forgot to utilize Soror Tiece I. Dempsey, International Connection and Social Action Committee, as a resource.
I am designating the first weekend of November (November 2 - November 3) as Impacting Voters with a Pinkprint. I also want chapters to conduct voter engagement activities every day leading up to the General Election on November 5, 2024. Soror Tiece I. Dempsey, Mid-Western Representative to the International Connection and Social Action Committee, dtiece08@gmail.com.
“WHEN WE VOTE, WE WIN!”
- Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States of America
When you engage, mobilize and get your community to vote, your chapter could win as well!
Are you ready for a little sisterly competition?
Chapters in each state will be asked to explain how they engaged, mobilized, and championed voter participation during the Impacting Voters with a Prinkprint weekend. Winning Chapters will be selected based upon creativity of programs and the increase in voter turnout in the 2024 General Election compared to the 2020 General Election. More details will be sent to Chapter Basilei soon.
Data, Data, Data is everything! Track your data so that you can tell your impact story.
