Soror Tangela D. DuPree, Basileus Gamma Theta Omega Chapter - 2022

Today begins a new Chapter, with new leadership in Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.

I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve as your next Basileus along with the other dynamic newly elected leaders. As your new officers, we proudly stand on the shoulders of a long list of exemplary Sorors that have established for us a solid foundation on which to build. We are excited about the blessing of such an honor and with great anticipation we anxiously begin our journey and promise to serve our Chapter, you the members and each other with distinction and honor over the next two years.

I am particularly proud that Gamma Theta Omega has long since established itself as a leading Chapter in the ranks of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., yet our eyes are on the future and the possibilities that await us. The trajectory set forth will be an approach emboldened by our past successes with an impassioned desire to lead with distinction.

My vision is to take measured steps that will deliver successful outcomes with your active engagement. The Leadership Team and I are committed to doing what is required to ensure that as a Chapter we continue to Go Greater around Service Excellence while fortifying our infrastructure. The future demands sophisticated data analytics be at our fingertips and we must have tools to ensure our success in this area. We must rise to meet this demand. Our unquestionable rendered service levels will drive our success, thereby attracting like-minded community partners which will result in greater success and better communities. We passionately believe that working together toward common goals with hearts that are loyal will result in greater laurels to win. I look forward to sharing this journey with each of you and I am genuinely excited about what we will accomplish.

Going Greater - Together!

Dear Mr. Conigliaro:

It was a pleasure speaking with you earlier today and briefly sharing our Computer Tots program. As stated during our conversation, we started the Computer Tots program to help young children become familiar with the computer keyboard. We are proud of the success the youngsters have exhibited thus far.

On June 2, 2021, we will graduate our first group. In addition to Certificates of completion, we would like to also provide the students with McDonald’s gift cards. Thank you for agreeing to provide us 25 gift cards to reward our young participants for their hard work. We greatly appreciate the partnership.
