This season calls us to reconnect, refocus, and recommit to the work ahead as we strive to finish strong in the SOAR adminstration. Through colllective leadership, service, and collaboration, we have made meaningful progress. As we enter the final stretch of 2026, let us continue with renewed energy and intentional commitment.

SERVING WITH INTENTION LEADING WITH IMPACT Greetings Sorors,
As we welcome September, I extend heartfelt gratitude to every soror who supported, presented, and attended our 2026 Chapter Retreat. Your dedication, creativity, and sisterly love made the experience meaningful and memorable. Thank you for pouring your time, talent, and energy into a retreat that truly reflected who we are as a chapter. As shared in the August 14 communication to each member from our Supreme Basileus, we will continue the impactful work initiated under the SOAR Administration for the remainder of this year and our chapter is committed to carrying that work forward with respect and intention.
On January 1, 2027, we will transition to the Champion Program Targets, executing with excellence ensuring we are Championing Service, Empowering Sisterhood, and Transforming the World.

PROTOCOL ESSENTIALS WELCOME BACK, SORORS! We hope the summer provided an opportunity to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. As we return from our summer break, we do so energized and ready to continue the important work of our chapter while upholding the standards of excellence that distinguish Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. This fall, the Protocol Committee is excited to introduce a series of Protocol Essentials workshops that will continue throughout 2027. These engaging sessions will provide helpful reminders, practical guidance, and opportunities for Sorors to strengthen our collective knowledge of Alpha Kappa Alpha protocol. After all, protocol is the shared responsibility of every Soror, and each of us plays an important role in ensuring that our chapter reflects the excellence, dignity, and sisterly spirit of our beloved sorority. Be on the lookout for more information. We also have begun preparations for Founders’ Day 2027 and look forward to sharing more information soon. As we approach our September chapter meeting and the taking of our official chapter photo, here are a few friendly protocol reminders: Our Basileus has asked Sorors to wear shades of pink, and the attire is business attire. Please arrive promptly and follow the guidance of the Protocol Committee as we assemble for the photograph. Your cooperation will help us capture our beautiful sisterhood efficiently and continue with the business of the chapter. During the chapter meeting, after the first speaker, all other Sorors who have been acknowledged and granted permission to speak from the floor should use this greeting: “To Madam Basileus, Madam Supreme Basileus (if in attendance), and Madam Regional Director (if in attendance)—Good morning, Sorors….” Protocol dictates that we never refer to our Basileus by her first name or Soror followed by her first name during chapter meetings. Thank you for helping us uphold our standards with grace and excellence.

Rolling Out the Pink Carpet: A Reactivation Celebration
REACTIVATING & TRANSFERING SORORS This September, we’re Rolling Out the Pink Carpet and celebrating the return of our inactive sorors and welcoming sorors who may be looking for a new chapter home! Join us on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 3:00 PM–5:00 PM for an afternoon of sisterhood, connection, and reactivation. We encourage every soror to personally invite an inactive soror, or a soror who may be interested in transferring to our chapter, to come roll with us! The Reactivation and Transfer Committee is committed to creating a welcoming pathway for sorors to renew their connection, re-engage in the work of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and rediscover the joy and purpose that comes from serving alongside our sisters. Let’s reignite our commitment to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and remind our sorors that there is always a place for you in our sisterhood.

MENTORING COMMIITTEE Mentors in the Sisterhood Ring: Refreshed & Ready to Champion Welcome back, Sorors! After a summer filled with rest, reflection, and renewal, we return refreshed and ready to reconnect, reengage, and strengthen the bonds that make Alpha Xi Omega Chapter a special place to call home. At the heart of that connection is our Mentoring Program, through which new, transferred, and reactivated Sorors are welcomed by sisters who are ready to encourage, guide, and share the Alpha Xi Omega Chapter experience. Mentors serve as role models, coaches, and trusted resources, while mentees bring their own experiences, questions, talents, and perspectives. Together, they create relationships that foster growth, belonging, and lifelong sisterhood. As Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® begins a new administration focused on the theme "Championing Service. Empowering Sisterhood. Transforming the World," our mentoring relationships remind us that empowerment begins with connection. Here’s to a new season of sisterhood, service, growth, and mentorship! 5
