On January 27, 2024, thirteen students from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) participated in the ASEAN Career Fair with Japan held in Singapore. This exclusive, invitation-only event, organized by the ASEAN Career Fair (ACF) with the Japan Committee in collaboration with Energize, Inc., connects top talent from Southeast Asia with leading Japanese companies. The participating AIT students were introduced to this opportunity during the AIT Career Fair in October 2023 and were supported by travel grants from the organizers. The fair featured twenty prominent companies across various industries, including AGC Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., Lion Corporation, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., offering students insights into diverse cultures and business practices from ASEAN countries and Japan, thereby broadening their career horizons. Description:
The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and CSI Bangkok have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster academic exchanges, entrepreneurship, and research and development. This partnership will also support professional and consultancy programs, reinforcing AIT’s role as a hub for innovation. Notably, CSI Bangkok is the first BOI-approved company established within the AIT BOI Science and Technology Park, marking a significant step toward strengthening industry-academic collaboration.

On May 17, 2024, Bhiramon Chuprapawan, founder and CEO of 4Care Group and an alumna of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), generously donated THB 150,000 to fund an incubator unit at the AIT Entrepreneurship Center (EC). Bhiramon, who completed her International Executive Master of Business Administration in 2003, expressed that her transformative experience at AIT equipped her with invaluable business acumen, contributing significantly to her entrepreneurial journey. Her donation aims to support the EC’s mission to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship among students and startups, providing essential resources for new ventures.

The Cooperatives and Global Supply Chain Logistics workshop was organized at Orchid Hotel, Shimla, India, by NEDAC (the Network for the Development of Agricultural Cooperatives in Asia and the Pacific). The AIT expert discussed “Roles of Agricultural Cooperatives in Enhancing Global Supply” alongside other esteemed speakers from the Cooperative Promotion Department of Thailand and

Can Tho University of Vietnam. The AIT expert elaborated on the vital roles played by agricultural cooperatives in supporting smallholders in marginalized areas and stressed the importance of leveraging technologies such as IoT for farm management to tackle the global issue of an aging population. He highlighted that while industrial processors are often more productive, cooperatives are essential for collective action where it is most needed.
