WELCOME FROM OUR COORDINATORS
Leanne Raeside - PYP Coordinator
Master in International Education (International Baccalaurete). Bachelor of Arts (Education). This is her sixth year working at AIS Saigon. Previously Leanne was a Year 4 teacher and Language Coordinator at Thu Thiem campus and is now in her 3rd year as the PYP Coordinator. Leanne enjoys the academic and personal challenges that the PYP Programme provide the learning community and she is deeply passionate about the environment, especially in reducing plastic waste and creating opportunities for authentic, sustainable actions to make our world a better place for our future. As the child’s learning begins in the home, Leanne is interested in holding workshops for parents to help our parent community understand the PYP programme in more detail, in order to make connections between home and school. Prior to working at AIS Saigon, she spent twelve years working in international schools in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she taught various Primary classes as well as being in leadership positions. Leanne continues to enjoy living and working in Vietnam and she is excited for future challenges and experiences.

Megan Hills - Kindergarten and Primary Technology Coordinator
Bachelor of Teaching (Primary), University of Waikato, New Zealand. Bachelor of Social Science (Human Development), University of Waikato, New Zealand. Megan joined AIS from New Plymouth, New Zealand in 2019. She has taught students from Years 1 to 4. Megan enjoys working in collaborative, student-centred learning environments. She encourages students to become globally minded citizens and to act in authentic, meaningful ways. Megan is the Technology Coordinator for the primary school. She recognises that students are facing a future that is exciting, constantly changing and technology rich. In her role, she is looking forward to working with staff to find new and interesting ways to use technology to support, engage, enhance, and transform student learning, especially as the BYOD programme expands throughout the primary school. Megan enjoys travelling, cooking, photography, volunteering and keeping fit.
Chantale Daniel - Kindergarten Coordinator
M.Ed Curriculem a Instruction, University of Montana, USA. BA. International Development Studies, Political Science, Dalhousie university, Canada. Chantale is passionate about early years education. She is excited to be working alongside a team of educators who are committed to supporting the holistic development of young children through purposeful play-based learning experiences. This is Chantale’s third year working with AIS. She has worked previously as a teacher in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and in China where she also worked as an early year’s coordinator. Chantale has two children who attend AIS primary and together they enjoy exploring beautiful Vietnam. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, reading, and photography.
Martin Berridge – Primary English Coordinator
Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences), Federation University, Australia Diploma of Education, La Trobe University, Australia Martin has vast experience in Primary Years education and is in his second year here at AIS. He is currently teaching Year Six at the Thu Thiem campus and is the Primary School’s English Coordinator. Martin is a passionate educator who always looks to improve his students’ outcomes and proficiencies in all areas of their education. He has a love of English and enjoys imparting a love of reading and writing with his students. Martin enjoys collecting and analysing assessment data and using it to inform areas of need and growth. He is here in Vietnam with his wife Danielle (teaching year three) and two daughters, June and Luca.
Kylie Sims – Primary Mathematics Coordinator
B.Ed Education (Early Childhood), Avondale College, Cooranbong, Australia M.Ed Education, University of Wollongong, Wollongong, Australia – Currently Studying. Kylie is new to AIS this year but brings a wealth of teaching experience from U.S.A, China, and Australia. She has been teaching in the middle primary years previously and is currently a Senior Kindergarten teacher at our Thu Thiem campus. Kylie is passionate about mathematics education and strongly believes that mathematics can be fun for everyone. She believes that learning should be engaging, hands on, and allow students opportunities to problem solve and think critically. Kylie is excited to work with teachers across our campuses to embed PYP inquiry practices into our mathematics subjects. In her spare time, Kylie is trying to learn to speak Korean, as well as finding the best coffee in HCMC.
