Director’s Message It brings me great joy to share our comprehensive Community Impact Report with you. This report highlights the depth and breadth of our school’s positive and transformative engagement efforts with the Guangzhou community and beyond. The American International School of Guangzhou is a dynamic, compassionate and connected community that is creating future-ready individuals to take action and contribute to a better world. These actions always emanate from the heart and start in our home of Guangzhou.

AISG students aspire to make a difference in the world where each student is encouraged to leave a legacy through their actions. Our Rams make an IMPACT. We believe that every individual can make a positive impact and, in these pages, you will see the difference the AISG community is making in the lives of others in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China and abroad.

A central tenet of AISG’s strategic vision is to be a leader in our community with our corporate social responsibility efforts. The AISG Story Established in 1981, the American International School of Guangzhou (AISG) was the first international school in southern China and continues to be the longest established not-forprofit international school in Guangzhou. AISG is a multicultural private day school offering an international curriculum guided by American educational values and principles.

We have been part of the Canton community since our founding as a consular school in 1981. What began with seven students from the US Consulate in a single room at the Dong Fang Hotel has now grown into a top-tier international school with over 1,000 students and more than 50 nationalities across two vibrant campuses. Our Er Sha Campus houses our Preschool through Grade 5 students, and our Science Park Campus educates students from Grades 6 through 12.

For forty years, our school has partnered with both the US Consulate and local Chinese government authorities while playing a significant role in the development of Guangzhou. We have given back to the people of the Guangdong community, and we have contributed to the area’s academic community, both international and local. From our humble beginnings, we have developed into the premier international school in the south of China and we are proud of our deep roots in the City of the Rams. We look forward to continuing our leadership role in dynamic, compassionate, and connected learning in one of China’s leading cities.

1979 U.S. Consulate Guangzhou Opens With a long history in Guangzhou dating back more than two centuries, the United States of America re-established diplomatic relations with China in 1979 and set up two consulates in the mainland: one in Shanghai and one in Guangzhou. The U.S. Consulate Guangzhou was located on the 11th floor of the Dongfang Hotel.

1981 Establishes American School of Guangzhou Founded in 1981 and originally named the American School of Guangzhou (ASG), the school’s purpose was to educate the American children of consular employees. ASG began with seven students taught by volunteer teachers at the Dong Fang Hotel.

1985 ASG Relocates to the Garden Hotel Driven by the expansion of local consular communities, ASG moved to larger facilities at the Garden Hotel, which opened the same year. ASG began to enroll students from other nations as demand for international education and curriculum increased.

1987 WASC Accreditation ASG was accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and expanded its education program to students from Kindergarten through Grade 8.

1994 ASG Relocates to Greenery Campus The school’s enrollment grew rapidly from 73 to 102 students from 21 nations. ASG moved into its first purpose-built campus in the Greenery housing estate.

ASG Introduces Scouting Girl Scouts were introduced to ASG to utilize the scouting culture and maintain ties to U.S. traditions while expanding students’ knowledge of American society. Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts were later added to the program.

1999 Establishes China Trips

AISG students began to expand their cultural knowledge by exploring the beauty of China through China Trips. For more than 20 years, our students have enjoyed meaningful learning to enhance the AISG experience through this tradition.

1996 ASG Expands to High School ASG began accepting enrollment for High School, beginning with 11 students across grade 9 through 11.

1998 First Graduating Class Our first High School graduating class consisted of three students. After graduation, they went on to attend Stanford University, UC Berkeley, and New York University.

ASG Becomes AISG ASG became legally reorganized as a non-profit corporation in the U.S. that contracted with the school entity registered in China. As part of this process, the school changed its name to the American International School of Guangzhou (AISG), becoming the longest established non-profit international school in Guangzhou to this day.

2001 Establishes Student Council The AISG Middle School Student Council and High School Student Council were founded to give students a voice in their own communities. Since their inception, these student councils have responded to the needs of their student bodies and serve as the voice of our students.

2002 AISG Relocates to Er Sha Island Regional industry and commerce continued to grow, with the Pearl River Delta becoming the world center of manufacturing. As Guangzhou expanded and diversified, so too did AISG. Demand grew rapidly as children of foreign employees moving to Guangzhou sought out the only international school in town.

AISG moved from the Greenery campus to a new purpose-built site on Er Sha Island located in the heart of Guangzhou.

2004 Receives IB Authorization AISG received authorization from the International Baccalaureate Office to offer the Primary Years Programme and Diploma Programme. The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

AISG Begins Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter The Habitat for Humanity campus chapter became an important part of community service life at AISG. For more than ten years, our students have visited villages in rural areas across southern China to do hands-on work building homes for those that are inneed of adequate shelter.

2007 Science Park Campus Opens As student numbers continued to grow, AISG realized that new facilities were required. With the cooperation of the local government including the Guangdong Education Department, Guangzhou Education Bureau, Huangpu District Government, and Homeland and Resources Bureau, the Middle School and High School divisions moved to a new, purpose-built campus in Science Park. Growth in all grades continued, with AISG’s student population totaling more than 900.

Er Sha Campus Expands Program The convenient location of the Er Sha campus combined with the growing enrollment of its Elementary School program, led to the opening of its Early Childhood Center, welcoming preschool students from age three.

AISG Begins the Global Issues Network The Global Issues Network (GIN) community service group was established to provide under-privileged girls with the education they deserve. GIN has raised more than RMB720,000 to date, successfully providing over 200 young women with the life-changing opportunity to pursue their educational goals.

2008 AISG Joins APAC AISG joined the Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC), an extra-curricular program for sports and performing arts for international schools in the Asia Pacific area. This has provided our students with various opportunities to travel and compete in sports and visual and performing arts, as well as experience new cultures and destinations.

2011 AISG Establishes the PRC League AISG is a founding member of the Pearl River Conference (PRC), a league organized for Middle School sports to compete against other international schools in the nearby region.

2016 Celebrating 35 Years Our anniversary celebrated 35 years of “Inspiring Bright Futures” with numerous tributes and festivities.

We are proud of AISG’s history and heritage as the longest established not-for-profit international school in Guangzhou, and a recognized leader in education in South China.

2017 World-Class Theater Opens AISG’s world-class, 499-seat theater became the centerpiece of the Science Park campus. It inspires every student who takes the stage and provides a center for our community to come together and connect, especially through our Performing Arts program with school plays, recitals, and orchestra, band, choir and dance performances.

2019 Master Facilities Plan Launches The Master Facilities Plan is one of the largest projects in AISG’s 38-year history and is expected to play a valuable role in contributing to the region’s Greater Bay Area Development project. AISG’s renovated campuses will form a place that inspires our students, teachers, and staff to be their best: a dynamic, compassionate, and connected hub for future-ready learning.

2020 Completes Phase One of the Master Facilities Plan October 2020, one year after the Groundbreaking Ceremony at Science Park, phase one was completed.

AISG now has a state-of-the-art Upper Elementary School building with four floors, pathfinder hallways and innovative furniture to provide varying learning environments along with a grand entrance that has a modern portico that provides a warm welcome to its visitors.

2021 Strategic Vision Framework The AISG community developed a framework that it believes will guide them for the next 40 years. The framework calls for the community to first reinforce its foundation, a reexamination of the school’s purpose, vision and mission statement, core values, and value propositions and then pursue its identified four strategic priorities: School Improvement, Expansion, Training & Consulting and Corporate Social Responsibility.

TODAY: 2021 40th Anniversary On September 29, 2021 AISG turned 40. With the slogan of “Transforming Lives Together” the community is celebrating its many accomplishments, including the grand opening of the main academic wing on the Science Park campus.

Before a multinational company makes the decision to invest in Guangzhou, it wants to be sure that their employees’ children will have access to top-level education. Companies and executives alike may rest assured that upon arriving in the area, they will have access to a top-tier international school. With our distinguished history, supportive community, and reputation for attracting excellent teachers, AISG plays an important role in helping Guangzhou attract a broad range of international corporations. AISG Contributes TO THE INTERNATIONALIZATION OF THE REGION

Over the past four decades of China’s reform and opening up, AISG has contributed significantly to Guangzhou’s internationalization by offering an excellent international education for families seeking a school that incorporates both American and international priorities. AISG has served the families of foreign diplomats from over 23 countries and will continue to support 66 consulates now located in Guangzhou. The school has also welcomed the children of those working for the many multinational companies now located here. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay area The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA) comprises the nine municipalities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing in Guangdong Province, and the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau. The total area is around 56,000 km2.

The GBA is a national initiative aimed at building a world-class city cluster in South China. As highlighted by the Chinese government’s 13th Five-Year Plan, it is a key driver of the country’s technology ambitions, market opening reforms, and facilitator of the Belt and Road initiative.

Based on the latest figures provided by the Guangdong Province, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (SARG) and the Macau SARG, the total population in the Greater Bay Area is over 86 million with a GDP in USD of 1,668.8 billion in 2020. The GBA contributes to more than one-tenth of China’s economy and is home to tens of thousands of enterprises in multiple industries and sectors.

Released in 2019, The Outline Development Plan for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (“the GBA Outline Development Plan”) is a blueprint to transform the Pearl River Delta from the factory of the world to a global center for advanced manufacturing and innovation, financial services, transport and logistics, trade, and tourism and leisure.

The GBA Outline Development Plan plays a crucial role in how China will achieve its next stage of economic development, as it not only increases the value-adding capabilities of the economy, but boosts internationalization within the region. This integration will further prop up China’s infrastructure and connectivity programs like the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as strengthen the supply chain industry in higher-tech manufacturing and services.

The three strategic priorities that underpin the GBA include developing an international innovation and technology hub, developing infrastructure connectivity, and developing a globally competitive business environment.

Guangzhou Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong province, is an important political, economic, industrial, and cultural center in the South China region. Located north of Hong Kong, Macau and the South China Sea, Guangzhou has long served as the southern gate of mainland China. As the origin of the ancient Chinese Maritime Silk Road, it is the oldest foreign trading port in mainland China and the only one that has never been closed.

Under the GBA plan, Guangzhou is growing into a global transport hub, trade center, and science and technology innovation center. The Guangdong Free Trade Zone will make the region more open to international investment in the targeted industries. In 2020, Guangdong also rolled out a blueprint to develop Guangzhou artificial intelligence and digital economy pilot zone. By 2030, the pilot zone will become a development hub for digital industry clusters, providing strong support for the Digital Silk Road.

Yuexiu District, Guangzhou Yuexiu District is located in the heart of Guangzhou, which got its name from the beautiful Yuexiu Mountain. It is the most iconic cluster of administrative resources, commercial resources, historical and cultural resources, basic educational resources, and healthcare resources. Yuexiu District preserves the most profound and representative cultural heritage in Guangzhou. At the same time, it attracts guests from all over the world with its favorable living and working environment.

Covering an area of 33.8km2, Yuexiu District is home to 1.18 million people. In 2019, Yuexiu District achieved a GPD of 313.547 billion RMB, with its economic aggregate ranking among the top 3 of Guangzhou and its economic and service density ranking the first in the Guangdong Province.

AISG was founded in Yuexiu District in 1981 and still remains in the district to this day. AISG and the district have grown together with a long history over the past forty years and is one of the district’s most influential international education resources.

Huangpu District, Guangzhou Huangpu District, Guangzhou located on the upper end of the Pearl River Delta and in the heart of the Greater Bay Area, is often referred to as the lustrous pearl on top of the Pearl River. In 2020, Huangpu District and Guangzhou Development Zone achieved a total industrial output value of 803.3 billion RMB, and the average annual actual utilization of foreign capital 2.268 billion USD, ranking among the top three development zones in the country for five consecutive years.

To support the development goals for the 14th Five Year Plan, the Guangzhou Development District will prioritize several multi-billion industries with the 300 billion RMB industry of new generation of information technology; the 200 billion RMB industry of manufacturing and new materials industry; and 400 billion RMB industry cluster of green energy, biotechnology, high-end equipment and health food. Overall, Huangpu will implement the “trillion manufacturing” plan and build a strong manufacturing, science, and technology area.

The AISG Science Park Campus has been located in the Huangpu District since 2008 and has brought tremendous impact and contribution to the area by providing the best international education, which attracts workforce talent to the GBA from around the world.

INTERNATIONAL TALENT, LOCAL BENEFITS In true not-for-profit nature, the tuition of our toptier institution goes directly to paying the salaries of our international faculty and local staff, and to maintaining our two campuses. Each year, through payroll, benefits, and general cost of living, a large sum of money stays within the city of Guangzhou, supporting the local economy. We estimate that through rent, medical insurance, purchases, and general living costs, nearly 70% of all faculty compensation goes back into the local community.

AISG Master Facilities Plan The Master Facilities Plan (MFP) was intentionally designed with the future of learning in mind. A redevelopment project across both campuses, Science Park and Er Sha, will transform educational spaces into world-class learning environments. Leaders of International Education AISG senior leaders are also leaders outside the AISG community, holding key positions in other educational organizations. Our Director, Kevin Baker, served on the Board of the East Asia Council of Schools (EARCOS) and also serves as a Commissioner for the Accreditation Commission for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

AISG offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years and Diploma Programme and uses standards from Common Core, American Education Reaches Out (AERO), and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) to tailor a program most relevant to our unique context and learners.

AISG is one of only two schools in Asia and the only school in China to have a full Early Childhood through Grade 12 implementation of the PLC at Work framework. PLC (professional learning community) teams work in a continuous cycle of inquiry focused on student learning outcomes and data-informed instruction and assessment.

To celebrate the 40 years international sister cities partnership, the Guangzhou government and Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office hosted the 40th-anniversary gala in 2019 and invited five AISG students to open the Gala with a beautiful rendition of Ode to Joy. The AISG choir and orchestra also performed the musical pieces of Jasmin Flower and Cherry Blossoms at the gala. The mayor of Guangzhou, Mr. Wen Guohui, shared Guangzhou’s history of sister city partnership with over 200 guests from 35 cities in 26 countries at the event. 为纪念广州开展国际友好城市工作40周年，广州市人民政府与广州市外事办公室于2019年举办了庆祝晚 会，并邀请了5名AISG学生以优美的欢乐颂开场。 AISG合唱团也在晚会上演奏了茉莉花和樱花的管弦及 合唱作品。广州市市长温国辉先生在活动中与来自26个国家35个城市的200多位嘉宾分享了广州市友好 城市伙伴关系的历史。

To support the Greater Bay Area education and culture exchange, United Front Work of Yuexiu Government hosted the finals of the 2019 Greater Bay Area Youth English Debate and Culture Exchange Competition Finals on our Er Sha Campus. Four groups of young debaters from Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen gathered at AISG for the finals. Government officials from Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou attended the event. 为支持粤港澳大湾区教育文化交流，越秀区统战部在我校二沙岛校区举办的2019年粤港澳大湾区青少年 英语辩论与文化交流大赛总决赛。来自香港、澳门、广州和深圳的四组年轻辩手齐聚AISG，参加决赛。 来自香港、澳门和广州的政府官员出席了此次活动。

Sister School Partnership In 2021, with support from the Guangzhou Education Bureau, AISG established a Sister School Partnership with the following four schools, three in Guangdong and one in Sichuan:

Guangzhou Yuexiu Tieyi Primary School Guangzhou Huadu Kuang Weiyu Primary School Guangzhou Jiangnan Foreign School Sichuan Wangcang School Through interactions with Sister Schools, the scope of learning can be transformed as educators share and develop new learning and evaluation strategies. Educators often work together with their counterparts from different countries to discuss curriculum design and other issues they face as educators, giving them a unique and fresh perspective. We look forward to the development of the exchange program with these four schools, to benefit our students in intercultural awareness, leadership, independence, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of our host country culture.

AISG Gives Back TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

Cultural Exchanges AISG participates in numerous contests organized by the Guangzhou Municipal Education Bureau, through its “Messenger for Foreign Cultural Exchanges in Guangzhou” that promotes cultural exchange. In their 5th Messenger for Foreign Cultural Exchanges in Guangzhou, a choir contest was held where local and international schools in Guangzhou participated and were teamed together to sing. AISG participated in the contest and also played a key role by offering its state-ofthe-art theater to record the teams singing of 30 schools.

For the first time, AISG and our sister school, Tieyi Primary School, joined our respective choirs to participate in the contest. Through this unique cultural exchange, students from both schools not only sang together, but they also established friendships and learned from one another.

Through partnerships with local organizations and through our own AISG charities, members of our community have contributed to countless community service projects over the years, always keeping one goal in mind: to give back to the province that we have called home for four decades.

At AISG, we empower our community to take action both locally and globally to bring about positive change. Aside from the internationally known community service organizations that AISG partners with, most of AISG’s community service groups are student-initiated. Global Issues Network - Shaoguan Girls Program (2011-2021) AISG’s Global Issues Network supports the education of underprivileged girls in Shaoguan, a city in northern Guangdong Province. Through our partnership with Shining Star, we identify girls who have a passion to continue their studies but who are unable to do so due to financial hardship. The “Bridging Hearts Through Education Scholarship Program” provides emotional encouragement and financial support for these students. Recipients are carefully selected through an application process and are chosen based on academic merit, desire to learn, and economic need. Since the beginning of our partnership, AISG has successfully provided over 200 girls with the life-changing opportunity to stay in school.

Habitat For Humanity Habitat for Humanity is a community service group that supports underprivileged people across the globe by providing them with housing. Members of our AISG Habitat for Humanity Organization visit villages in rural areas across southern China to do hands-on work building homes for those lacking adequate shelter. Since 2016, Habitat for Humanity members have traveled to the village of San Cun, Guangdong. Our student volunteers have done important work such as moving bricks from a central location to specific work sites, mixing concrete mortar, and laying bricks to shape and build walls. Crossroads Crossroads is a community service organization that show society’s care for the underprivileged who don’t have equal opportunities by providing necessities that they lack as a basis for them to improve their lives. In coordination with Crossroads, AISG students raise awareness and take action by organizing toiletry collections, donations for shoes, unwanted clothing and books for those in need; participating in the Crossroads Refugee Run; and visiting local schools to deliver PE, art equipment and other learning materials. COMMUNITY SERVICE AT UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOL With more than twenty Upper Secondary school groups, students make a difference in the lives of our local community in a wide variety of activities, such as raising awareness about cancer and autism, interacting with local elementary students through music and games, assisting villagers with building homes, conversing with local university students in English conversation circles, organizing educational games, art, music and sports for children of migrant workers, distributing personal hygiene products to the homeless, promoting recycling and humane treatment of animals, preparing emergency food rations, and giving financial support to a number of local charities. AISG students are giving back to our host country with their time, their person-to-person connections and with their monetary and products donations.

Connect 4 Cancers (C4C)

Migrant Link

C4C not only raises awareness about cancer, but also fundraises for the Children’s Hope Foundation for children who cannot afford cancer treatment. Fundraisers include a Tie-dye event, where participants are invited to DIY tie-dye creations, a quarterly bake sale, and Hair4Hope, where donors have their hair cut and donated to make wigs for cancer patients. C4C members also visit the houses of the children with cancer whom they support, getting to know them personally and making unforgettable connections.

Migrant Link aims to connect with and support migrant children. By designing interactive activities, AISG students help migrant children with their communication skills, social skills and how to become a life-long learner. During these activities, everyone learns from each other. After each visit, AISG students reflect on how they can improve their activities of personalized interactions and how they can involve society to also support these children.

Special Needs Union The Special Needs Union community service group provides awareness and support to people with special needs, a group that is underserved and stigmatized in China. Through their interactions when they visit a care center for mentally disabled people, and their fundraisers at AISG community events, they hope to reduce this stigma and educate the local community about disabilities and mental illness. 特殊需求社区服务团体为有特殊需要的人们提供倡议和支持，这是一个未得到社会的广泛关注并还遭受着不 平等对待的特殊群体。学生们通过走访智障人士中心并与其互动，通过AISG社团筹款活动等方式，希望可以 减少这种不平等，提升人们对残疾及精神疾病的认知与关注。

The English Connection The English Connection aims to help individuals become more confident and comfortable speaking English in public settings and among large groups of people. They have done tremendous work with Lingnan University students who can practice their English and gain confidence with our AISG students. In addition, this relationship has built a great exchange; university students have learned more about international cultures and AISG students have more understanding about the Chinese culture. 英语联系社区服务团体旨在帮助个人在公共场合及面对观众时更自信自如地讲英语。AISG学生们与岭南职业 技术学院的学生一起练习英语，建立信心。同时，建立了良好的交流，岭南学院学生对国际文化有了更多的 了解，而AISG学生对中国文化也有了更深的了解。

Roots and Shoots Animals Roots & Shoots is a global community action program that aims to inspire, empower and encourage young people all over the world. Roots and Shoots Animals at AISG focuses on helping animals in the local Guangzhou area who are abandoned and need care. Students visit dog and cat shelters, dedicating their time to cleaning their kennels, feeding them and playing with them. Students also work on finding homes for these pets and are involved in the shelter’s adoption program.

Barefoot Band The Barefoot Band was founded by a group of AISG student musicians. During the epidemic, they were inspired by the people who provide cares for others who are ill. AISG Annual Food Drive The AISG Annual Food Drive is a joint effort by AISG and the local Baiyun Community Office to help local families in need. Every year, the AISG Elementary School donates oil, rice and noodles to the Baiyun Street District Community residents in celebration of the Chinese New Year.

Giving In ‘Full Bloom’ The Chinese New Year holiday provided many opportunities for our community to give and contribute to charities. In one case, some students in their own time decided to take action in choosing an organization to help raise funds for a noteworthy cause. Their idea was brilliant in tying together the theme of giving flowers during the Chinese New Year by selling flowers to raise money for Hopeful Hearts, an organization that provides heart surgery for children. 中国农历新年为我们社区提供了许多行善的机会。一些小学生决定用他们自己的时间采取行动，他们想出非常 好的创意，结合节日传统出售春节鲜花，为希望之心（一个为儿童提供心脏手术的组织）筹集善款。

AISG Partners WITH CHINA’S ACADEMIC COMMUNITY

Each year, AISG invites around 20 international schools from all over China to come to our campuses to share, exchange and learn together. Chinese Education Bureaus and local schools are also frequently invited for interaction and exchange. For more than a decade, AISG has partnered with Sun Yat-sen University, one of the top universities in Guangdong. We have provided internships to over 100 graduate students, supporting their development as teachers of Chinese as a foreign language. 每年AISG邀请来自全国各地约20所国际学校来我们的校园参观交 流 ， 互相学习 。 中国各级教育机构和当地学校也经常到我们学校进 行互动与交流。AISG十多年来一直与广东顶尖大学之一的中山大学 合作 ， 先后为近100位大学研究生提供实习机会 ， 促进对外汉语教 学的发展。

EDTECHGZ One of the highlight events of each school year is the EdTechGZ Conference, organized by AISG’s Innovation and Technology department. Over the past seven years, educators from across China and across the globe with this past year’s online format, participate in workshops and present at the conference. Each EdTechGZ event gives local and international educators hands-on experience in innovative and tech-focused teaching and learning practices.

Shining Star The organization of Shining Star believes “Everyone can be a Shining Star” and is a special organization to AISG since its founder, Summer Tan, is a benefactor of AISG’s community service program, Global Issues Network (GIN). GIN supports the education of underprivileged girls in Shaoguan and is where Summer received support ten years ago to finish her high school education.

Summer is now taking her turn in giving back to the community with the creation of Shining Star, a government approved NGO that connects community service programs like AISG GIN to the local communities in need. With the help of Shining Star, hundreds of students in Shaoguan have received financial aid and mental health support to continue their studies. Shining Star also has access to thousands of students in other small villages who are in need and wanting to continue their education. They have witnessed many beautiful and powerful stories that are changing the lives of so many and has become a great partner for AISG who also wants to make a difference in their lives and together let more children be “Shining Stars”.

37 Interactive Entertainment AISG has partnered with 37 Interactive Entertainment on several fronts. 37 Interactive Entertainment is a leading international game developer and publisher, which covers games, online education, film and television, music production, artist agencies, animation, VR/AR, cultural and healthcare content and social networking.

AISG invites the visually impaired team to our Er Sha campus on weekends where students and teachers are trained on how to be a running guide followed by a run along the river on Er Sha Island. In a business-focused city like Guangzhou, families often come and go. We work hard to make sure the connection between AISG, our students, and our community does not end on the day they leave our campus. As we so often say, “Once a Ram, always a Ram.” This has become more and more apparent throughout our history as many of our alumni, from both local and international families, have grown up in Guangzhou and spent their formative years on our campuses. Our Ram alumni move all over the world after leaving AISG, taking great memories of life in Guangzhou with them. They are proud of the school they went to and the city they lived in. RAMS From Around The World Our students and their families come to Guangzhou from all over the world. Throughout their time living in Guangzhou and attending AISG, the majority of our families frequently make the journey back home for holidays and school breaks. AISG Alumni The connection between AISG and our alumni continues long after graduation day. Our goal is to keep our alumni connected to each other, to AISG, and to Guangzhou. Besides providing our alumni with an online alumni networking platform to give them opportunities for expanding their professional networks, we also invite AISG alumni from all over the world to various networking events. Many of our alumni frequently make trips back to the AISG campuses to share their stories with current students and teachers. No matter where they go in the world, they always carry a piece of Guangzhou with them.

SUMMER & AISG, OUR STORY SUMMER TAN, AISG

For the past 10 years, AISG has represented a shining star in Summer Tan’s life. Summer was in the first graduating class of the scholarship assistance program offered by AISG’s community service group, Global Issues Network (GIN) that supports underprivileged girls in Shaoguan.

During the three years of supporting Summer towards graduation, Summer realized that education can change lives. She has, in turn, made this into her career focus and supports others in similar situations like hers. After her high school graduation, she has remained heavily involved with AISG’s GIN scholarship program with their annual visit to Shaoguan that provides educational activities and workshops; she continued her own education and earned a college degree; and right after her college graduation, she started her own NGO, Shining Star Organization, to bring education to thousands of children in need in local villages. AISG is very proud of Summer’s accomplishments and how our support instigated her own journey to impact so many lives.
