Policies and Guidelines
Our School Fees are set and payable according to the schedule approved by the School Board each year. Fees are charged in US dollars, and the payment must be net of any bank fees. Payment of school fees can not be paid in cash or by bank card.
The school fees will contain the following elements:
AISB Tuition and Related Fees New Students Returning Sudents
Application Fee - $ 650
The non-refundable, one-off Application Fee covers the administration of the application and must be paid in USD through the admissions portal upon submission. It is valid for one academic year, and the review process will only begin once the fee is received. If an applicant is currently in the waiting pool and renews their application for a consecutive year, the school will waive the payment requirement for that renewal year. If you require an invoice for the fee, please request one by emailing the Finance Office at financeoffice@aisb.hu.
The one-time registration fee is paid to secure an offer of admission from the school. The invoice will be issued upon acceptance by the Finance Office. The registration fee is due within 14 days from the invoice issue date and is nonrefundable
Enrollment Deposit - $ 3,000
To secure your child’s place, an enrollment deposit is required within 30 days of the admission offer. This payment is credited toward the first tuition invoice, with the full amount deducted from the upcoming tuition fee. If the child does not enroll after this payment is made, the fee is non-refundable. This requirement applies to new families only.
Building Fee - $ 3,500
The Building Fee is a mandatory, annual fee applicable to all students. For students attending the school for fewer than 20 school days in a single academic year, a reduced rate of 50% of the annual building fee will be charged. Please be advised that the building fee is strictly non-refundable.
Tuition Fee 2026/27
The fees cover all school expenses related to delivering our school’s educational programs to your child.
Tuition fees for the 2026/27 School Year are as follows:
Payment Schedules
To suit your family’s requirements, we offer three flexible payment options. Families must select one of these preferred plans during the formal enrollment process.
Plan A: Tuition is settled in a single installment with no additional processing fees.
Plan B: Payments are split into two installments, with a $200 processing fee added to the second payment.
Plan C: Tuition is payable in four installments and includes a total processing fee of $300, which is split across the second, third, and fourth payments Plan C is reserved for private fee payers and is not available for corporate-sponsored enrollments.
For students accepted to AISB after July 1st, both the building and tuition fees must be settled in one full payment

Late Payment Protocol
Late payment of any amounts due to AISB, will result in an additional late payment fee of 6% per annum on the unpaid balance, calculated on a daily basis.
Students whose fees have not been paid by the due date will not be allowed to attend school unless an installment payment has been agreed upon in writing with the Business Office team
If fees exceeding $1,500 remain overdue for more than 30 days, the installment payment plan will be unavailable for the following academic year, and only the one-sum payment option (Plan A) will be accepted.
Seat Reservation Deposit (SRD) - $ 3.000
To secure a place for the next school year, the $3,000 Seat Reservation Deposit (SRD) must be paid by March 1 of the given year; after this date, the seat is no longer guaranteed This deposit is deductible from the tuition fee A full refund is available for withdrawals confirmed in writing before April 1 of the given year; after this date, the fee is non-refundable. This requirement applies to returning families only.
Leave of Absence Fee
To request a leave of absence, families must submit a written request to the Registrar at registrar@aisb.hu for school approval. Maintaining a child’s enrollment status during an extended absence requires a fee equivalent to 25% of the combined Building Fee and grade-level Tuition Fee, which is non-refundable and non-prorated This payment guarantees a place for the student if they return at the start of the following school year, though a leave of absence may not extend beyond one year. To secure the student’s return, families must adhere to regular re-enrollment timelines, pay the Seat Reservation Deposit, and provide school reports for the year of absence.

Fee Payment Terms and Deadlines for New Students
Admissions before July 1, 2026: The Registration Fee and enrollment deposit are due within 14 days of the invoice date, and the first installment of Building and Tuition Fees must be paid by August 1, 2026.
Admissions after July 1, 2026: The Registration Fee and enrollment deposit are due within 14 days. Building and Tuition Fees are payable within 30 days of the invoice.
Late Admissions Rule: If there are more than 30 days between the admission acceptance and the student's start date, the Registration Fee and enrollment deposit are due within 14 days, and the Building and Tuition Fees must be paid within 30 days.
MID-YEAR ENROLLMENT SCHEDULE

Students who enter between January 12 and February 1, 2027, will be charged tuition on a daily pro-rata basis for the remaining days of Quarter 2 in addition to the full quarter fees for any additional remaining quarters.
The Building Fee is an annual fee for all students that has to be paid in full for all students who attend more than 20 school days. Students attending for less than 20 school days will be charged fifty percent (50%) of the annual building fee.
Tuition and Fees Refund Policy: Early Departures
The Refund Policy applies to families who withdraw from the school before the end of the school year Refunds are calculated from the student’s final day of attendance and require written notice to the Registrar.
Refund eligibility depends on both the quarter of departure and whether at least 90 days’ written notice is provided. When 90 or more days’ notice is given, refunds range from 75% in Quarter 1 to 25% in Quarter 3.
When less than 90 days’ notice is provided, reduced or no refunds apply Withdrawals in Quarter 3 with insufficient notice are not eligible for a refund.
The building fee is non-refundable in all circumstances.

Fees for a given student may not be transferred nor applied to another student’s account
Refunds will be made after the withdrawal of the student and within 30 business days.
Third-Party Payment
It is the Parents or guardians responsibility to ensure that the third-party payments are made according to the school’s payment terms, and parents guardians are liable for any outstanding balances of school fees including charges for late payments
Settlement of Tuition and Building fee in HUF
Fees are set annually by the School Board and invoiced exclusively in US Dollars (USD). While all payments are generally expected in USD net of bank fees, students who are Hungarian citizens or have permanent domicile in Hungary may settle Tuition and Building Fees in Hungarian Forints (HUF). For these cases, the USD invoice amount is converted using the Hungarian National Bank (MNB) exchange rate from the day prior to the school receiving the payment.
AISB does not issue invoices in HUF, as it serves strictly as a settlement method for eligible payers
