Setting the Stage on Taylor St

Taylor St is very pedestrian friendly. There is little access for cars on the east side of the street because of the space used for outdoor seating. It’s clear that the appeal of this street is human accessibility, and that is unique. This intervention works to expand the human accessibility to the entire street and increase the points of entertainment to bring more people to the street.

A focal point of this street is the multi use stage that allows for increased community engagement. Performances, announcements and even movies could be put on the stage. This allows for a variety of events pulling different kinds of people to the street. The seating will be transformable, from picnic table to bench to accommodate the range of events happening.
