AIR CANADA RESTRICTIONS ON PET TRAVEL
Air Canada has specific restrictions on pet travel to ensure the safety and well-being of both pets and passengers Here are some of the restrictions that apply to the Air Canada pet policy.

Breed restrictions: Some breeds of dogs, such as Pit Bulls, American Staffordshire Terriers, and some types of Mastiffs, are not allowed to travel on Air Canada due to safety concerns.
Cats
Age restrictions: Puppies and kittens under 12 weeks of age are not allowed to travel on Air Canada.
Size and weight restrictions: Pets must be able to stand up, turn around, and lie down in their carrier comfortably. The maximum weight limit for a pet carrier and pet is 10 kg (22 lbs) for travel in the cabin and 32 kg (70 lbs) for travel in the cargo hold

Dogs
Health requirements: Pets must have a valid health certificate and be up to date on all required vaccinations The health certificate must be issued by a licensed veterinarian and dated within 10 days of travel.
Carrier requirements: Pet carriers must meet Air Canada's guidelines, which include being well-ventilated, leak-proof, and made of materials that are safe for pets The carrier must also fit under the seat in front of the passenger for pets traveling in the cabin
