AIMMP - Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture Industries’ mission is to represent, promote and protect the interests of the companies from the five sectorial divisions that comprise the Wood and Furniture sector: cutting, felling, sawing and wood packaging; panels and paneled wood, carpentry and alike; furniture and alike; export, import and distribution of wood and derivatives.

These industries account for 2.3 billion of euros in sales and export 1.1 billion euros. Furniture, wood panels, construction materials (doors and floors) pine and eucalyptus wood, in roundwood and sawn, are the main agents for achieving these remarkable values. As part of the forest transformation cycle, which is responsible in Portugal for about 4% of national GDP, 11% of industrial GDP, 9% of industrial employment and 10% of national exports, the Wood and Furniture Industries sector is of paramont importance in Portugal socioeconomics.

INTER WOOD & FURNITURE is a structured intervention program that supports portuguese companies interested in developing internationalization strategies in order to expand into new growing markets. This program has already contributed to the growth in exportations in the Wood and Furniture Industries. Inter Wood & Furniture has supported over 120 companies in 16 markets and currently is able to provide up to 50% in funding.

Bud started the activity in 1997 in the edition and distribution of decorative and furnishing fabrics. Over the last years, we spread our activity in other complementary areas, including the manufacturing of all kind of materials integrated in interior decoration (furniture, chairs and upholstered sofas, lighting), especially in what concerns the hospitality and contract market, clinics and all kind of public buildings.

After a starting period where we have been focusing in the Portuguese market, profiting of the touristic and hotel boom mainly in four and five stars hotels, we went through a process of internationalisation, especially in the European contract markets, cooperating with some of the most recognised interior architects in top end projects.

Since the very beginning of our industrial activity, our offer relies on the Portuguese specialised capability to producing high quality furniture and home textiles, either in industrial series or producing sophisticated bespoke furniture and decorative products.
